Fresh laundry dried in the sun ....

Not only clean but pure comes to mind... hooray for Ariel :)

It is really a clean bear smell and not a bad one if you like molecules, synthetics and detergents :)
I still want to mention that "The Muse" gets along without flowers, citric notes or vanilla etc.

I now find the prelude of the fragrance a bit exhausting because my first thought was dry cleaning, lack of heat etc. Also Byredos Blanche and Terenzis White Fire went through my mind. At first I was disappointed I have to admit But as soon as this is over it will be really nice :)
The scent of freshly washed laundry and clearly lots of clean musk are carried by woody powder. Ariel or Persil... no matter ... you know what it's like when you stick your nose into a detergent pack. This detergent note is always in the middle of the fragrance But most of all I like this dry wood powder, which harmonizes perfectly with cotton and musk. White oud is standing there in the pyramid of scents... ok then let's leave it at that ;)
Fresh-synthetic is on top... yes, definitely... and also absolutely unsweet!
I do not perceive the base as fluffy musk clouds, the fragrance also has no sexy-dirty component ... but sensual cleanliness that blends with the skin fits quite well ;)
Fresh breeze for the spring days and certainly also in summer well wearable or otherwise if you just want to smell clean.
Definitely a unisex scent :)
The shelf life is ok with a good 7 - 8 hours and the sillage is quite good for a clean bear.

It's all about the dosage

When I read the first descriptions of "The Muse", I was immediately very impressed.

I can imagine that, as so often, early coinage plays a role here. So I have always loved the smell of dry cleaning, hot ironing, freshly ironed or air-dried laundry. And even if I personally prefer to use a liquid natural detergent, I like to stick my nose into a conventional detergent box every now and then.

I think if you don't like these smells and don't have a certain weakness for "artificial" scents, you won't be happy with "The Muse".
So in my case, the hope for a concentrated load of positive childhood memories has activated my blind buying finger.

Here now my impressions:
First of all, it was not love at first sight.
As already mentioned in several descriptions, "The Muse" starts already very violently strong and stinging, as if you put your nose a little bit too deep into the detergent box. Everything at once streams in on me, the lack of heat, the dry cleaning, the washing powder. The air-dried laundry, if any, is completely drowned out by the other components.
As I also mentioned in a statement, I would generally rate "The Muse" less as a perfume and more as a smell.

After the first heavy odour has disappeared, I find "The Muse" at first exclusively fresh-synthetic. For me there are no flowers, no fruit, no powder and no wood perceptible. It's only late in the base that this typical subtle woody note, as we know it from other purely synthetic fragrances, comes up
For me there is nothing comparable in the world of fragrances so far. For me there is no similarity to fragrances like the Prada infusions or various "relatives". The only connecting thing may be the "clean bear component", but it has been implemented here in a completely different way. Maybe "Blanche" from Byredo is similar in terms of the detergent note. But there this comprehensive "processed laundry note" is missing
My associations with "The Muse" are glistening-bright, radiant, but also familiar and homely.

After having studied the fragrance in detail in the last few days, I have now found the right dosage for me. And it is extremely delicate. It works best when I spray into the air and go through the fragrance mist. That way I avoid the initially pungent synthetic charge and the scent can soon unfold.
If I use too much, which in this case is a simple whole spray directly on my skin, the fragrance remains extremely dense and I smell nothing but a pungent synthetic note. In the best case I then have the impression of detergent. In our household we use a liquid odourless organic detergent, as already mentioned, because I don't like my clothes smelling of detergent. So it would probably be completely counterproductive to spray this detergent smell on me consciously.

In the optimal dosage and unfolding I can now perceive the announced "extreme clean musk" with a touch of hot lack of taste. Every now and then a washing agent note still blows around my nose, but it is so delicate that it can easily be transformed into the freshly dried laundry association. So subtly sprayed, the scent is now fun. So all's well that ends well.

I can also imagine that it can be laid quite well. I will still experiment and maybe there will be an addendum to this.

Never in my life would I have thought that I would once feel comfortable as a walking washing powder barrel!
But then I slowly began to like these pure, clean scents like "Chemise Blanche", " Glow" and "Aldhèyx" more and more.

"The muse" appeared frequently in the statements and at the latest after the one from DaveGahan the purchase decision was made.
Oh yes, I was a victim of hypnosis :D

I got exactly what I expected: all-purpose detergent of the highest purity level in perfection!
And it's just beautiful and gives me a wonderfully clean feeling.
The first sprayer catapults you directly and upside down into the washing powder. Not dusty, but with a soapy creaminess. The feeling of rubbing soap flakes in your hand Clean, nourishing, pH-neutral and yet dazzling white!
In the course of time the fragrance becomes milder. Just like the scent of outdoor-dried whites, which also release their scent over time - but never the pure radiance.
Figuratively, I always think of a freshly sharpened, white crayon. Pungent tip, which slowly becomes softer as I paint.
A preference for synthetics is a prerequisite to enjoy this muse

Stress - I don't care, I stay clean

I feel soapy clean!

So that no irritations arise: dirty humour and wicked word creations still work wonderfully even with this purity :-p

It occurred to me, does this have anything to do with the current Corona pandemic? Washing hands, mouth protection and the knowledge of this invisible danger, which can only be partially averted with distance and reasonable hygiene.

For my laundry I only use detergent in the smallest possible quantity and I generally do not use fabric softener. Therefore my laundry never smells sooo intensive. My neighbour doses it more 'generous' and in summer her laundry actually gives off a "The muse"-vibe.

What I noticed with this fragrance is the perception depending on the dosage. Sprayed often the shelf life is ~6-7 hours. However, if I only apply a maximum of 2 sprayers on my wrist, I perceive the fragrance easily for 10 hours.
This has never happened to me before. I think it's the adaptation
By the way, this bottle is ideally suited for filling by syringe.

Stays clean ;)

Don't look for much - take Persil

When I was a teenager, I developed a little tic in emptying the washing machine, which I like to tell you about. My mother often asked me to help her with various household chores. This included, apart from the generally hated emptying of the dishwasher, emptying the washing machine including hanging up the freshly washed laundry inside. This was a task I liked very much as I was already a scent expert at that time, as I adored the smell of freshly washed laundry. I especially liked it when the laundry was washed with the original Persil powder, because the subsequent smell of clean purity was unbeatable. Therefore I always had to smell the shining clean laundry thoroughly after emptying and was always delighted how once dirty can spread such a bright shine again.

Even today the smell of the family laundry of that time has remained in my nose and has been stored in my brain. Therefore, it was a great pleasure and surprise for me to rediscover it in a perfume. Although I had already tested a "fresh laundry scent", such as "Warm Cotton", I was not able to wear some of them, as they were no longer perceptible after only a short time. I like quiet scents as well, but there must be some durability. "The Muse" was supposed to fill exactly this gap and come up with a fragrance that is extremely durable and also smells like freshly washed laundry. Moreover, unlike the other newcomers, it is not only a nice memory of cleaning out the washing machine, but it is also beautifully tart and actually quite masculine. This does not mean that it is not unisex wearable, I only judge it from the "male point of view".

But what exactly does it smell like?
For those who cannot imagine anything under the smell of Persil, I would like to describe once again as exactly as possible what can be smelled here:

1. A linear fragrance that remains almost the same from beginning to end and ends in a soft musky veil at the end.
2. We definitely smell warm, heated cotton, as is usual after washing.
3. This is accompanied by a soapy note reminiscent of curd soap. A classic soap without any other scents.
4. In the interplay described above, it therefore appears tart and soapy, slightly acidic and infinitely pure, fresh, bright and radiant.
5. It has an enormous durability for a newborn and lasts about 9 hours with me. It radiates well in the first 4 hours and then retreats from time to time, only to return with concentrated power.

Conclusion: If you like "fresh underwear fragrances" with a tart base and like to smell extremely fresh, you should test this one. A super performance makes sure that it is not only a nice room fragrance, but that it really does something for your neck. I would almost ask you to be careful when dosing it, otherwise the soapy notes could be too strong. Besides, man and woman can do nothing wrong here. For him I like the tart freshness best. If you like to look clean and well-groomed, "the Muse" can give a clear emphasis to this need for appearance!

So don't look for much - take Persil!

... does not grow on trees. It does not develop as an underground tuber, nor does it sprout from the earth in mountain meadows. What do I want to say with that? Of course (!) The Muse by Zarkoperfume is a completely synthetic fragrance. To complain about it I find silly and pointless, if someone knows a process to distill white laundry just fished out of the washing machine, he may please contact me. So! Now to the fragrance itself...

The fragrance:

This muse kisses the washerwomen and modern househusbands, because all this fragrance has to offer is actually freshly washed laundry. No more and no less. But that accomplishes The Muse perfectly, I know nothing comparable. Is the fragrance one-dimensional, linear and concocted from aroma chemicals? Absolutely. But it delivers what it promises, and in an absolutely impressive and highly satisfying way.

Score: 9/10.

Its features:

Here shines the often scolded hero of the lack. Durability and performance are well above average (yes, even above that of many other synthetics!) To settle. Two sprays on the skin, and you smell fresh and well-groomed half the day. Same amount on clothes...lasts until the next "real" wash. For grumpy students, a real alternative to going to mom's. Oh... Before it is raged here now because of it, I was once just such a Welcher, okay? Fine!

Other:

The bottle does not reinvent the tetrahedron, but is beautiful and functional. The presentation is appealing. The price is more than justified for what is offered. Unisex? Absolutely. As if laundry freshness cares about genders...

Conclusion:

I can keep myself short, who is looking for a fragrance that perfectly mimics washing powder resp. the freshly washed garment and knows how to perform very strongly, which can safely end the search here. The muse delivers. All others, especially those who call a real (or imagined) allergy to artificial flavors their own, should better look elsewhere.

From me's 9/10 points for the Muse, which looks in my head like Mrs. Clementine before the endless clothesline.
