More Marilyn Monroe than Gourmand
Calling this “Sugar” was surely bandwagon marketing to capture all the gourmand lovers, but….it calls to mind MM’s character in Some Like it Hot. Bodaciously feminine and overripe.
Sugar? Sounds yum, but while the opening initially captured my attention, it became smoothed out and syrupy, strong, sweet and synthetic. It’s hard to recognize distinct notes, other than the orange blossom, though the artificial coconut peaked through early on. It comes to resemble big fruity florals that are typical of designer fragrances, rather than a niche.
For a winning Orange Blossom/ Marshmallow I choose Love Don’t Be Shy over this by a mile.
