Comforting bouquet with a little juice
Vive la Mariee opens with a bouquet of sweet but slightly woody jasmines, with its sweetness being the fruity kind. When it settles a little, there's a musky, almost smoky feel to it that seems to whirl around the bouquet.

It just keeps getting more flowery as it progresses, like a florist's shop with a juicy sweetness all the time. No one flower dominates - the general impression is just a jumble of powdery, almost creamy white florals.

The final drydown is similar to how many musks end on me - a light, soft skin scent. It's a pity rose wasn't as prominent in this as I hoped it would be, but I didn't miss it very much because there are already so many other floral notes in the mix.

Overall, I found this to be a very pleasant and comforting scent. It's like something I would want to wear if I was going to sleep, for example. It just makes me feel safe and cuddled, in a way, which is probably only the second perfume so far to make me feel like that (the first being PdR's Rose Kashmirie). Two thumbs up to this for doing that!

This doesn't project well, but you will be able to smell it on yourself. Lasted about 3-4 hours on me.

the bride who dares...
All in white with a bouquet... lalala lala...

sorry for the earworm, but this old classic immediately came to mind with this fragrance.
Even though I would personally transform the bouquet into a rose bouquet in the text.

Vive la Mariée is an expressive scent that is made for a white bride. A bride who loves convention and tradition. A bride in a white, opulent dress, with a long train and a rose bouquet as her bridal bouquet.

For the backdrop of the spectacle, I imagine an English rose garden. Everywhere blooms abundantly, bees are buzzing, and it smells sweet from every corner. Neatly arranged rose paths, magnolia trees, freesias, peonies, and jasmine beds, all very well-kept and intoxicatingly beautiful.
The perfect setting for Vive la Mariée and the bride who dares.

For me, who simply got married in a red jumpsuit from Zara, a white blazer, and a dried flower bouquet, the fragrance is just too much of everything.
Way too sweet, penetrating flowers that push themselves very much to the forefront.
Escaping is hardly possible. Just like in a fully bloomed rose garden.

If you're into that, this fragrance is perfect. It's not bad, really not. I even find that the flowers are very authentically captured.
Personally, the rose is too present for me. The rose is processed here in a way that I don't particularly like. Dense, sweet, and incredibly diva-like.
After about 1 hour, the scent becomes slightly powdery, a bit softer but still intrusive.

From the promising top note, there is just as little perceivable as from the base.
There I only smell 70s hairspray and not really anything from those, actually great notes that are listed in the pyramid. At most, a little cedar flashes through.

All in all, yes, the fragrance is surely suitable for one or another bride who dares (and knocks her groom off his feet) - for me, it could have been a bit less.

All in white, with a bouquet of flowers
As a soon-to-be late bride, I naturally wanted to give this wedding scent a chance, even though the many flowers in the description should have deterred me, as I am not at all inclined towards floral scents when it comes to my preferences. But praline in the pyramid - that makes my ears and nose hairs perk up at the same time! Both the novelty and the craving come through, and I generously overlook such Nelly turn-offs like freesia and lychee.
However, Vive la Mariée is for me a pure floral scent, with praline and vanilla taking a back seat and merely providing sweet creaminess.
The first impression after spraying was even quite different: a soapy, almost innocent cleanliness surprised me, but soon made way for an abundance of white, balsamic, honey-sweet flowers. Some magnolia trees and seas of freesias have given their lives for this scent in my imagination. Fortunately, the fragrance also has a retro powdery note that makes it interesting for me, very pleasant, very feminine, and fits perfectly with the theme.
The base is equally harmonious, soft and cocooning.
A beautiful, spring-like bouquet, romantic and finely composed. Not my favorite rose scent (that’s the one with coconut), and not my wedding favorite (still the one from Guerlain), but perfect for younger, delicate brides and young-at-heart noble light figures.

Long Live the Bride!
I still remember a stay in Palermo when my ex led me to the underground tombs.
I had little desire to look at the mummies, but I crept through the morbid scenery and the musty catacombs shuddering for his sake.

Until finally my patience wore thin, and I dashed up the stairs - craving light, air, and sunshine.

And what did I find in the sunlit courtyard?
A colorful wedding party that was just laughing and posing for the photographer!
Fellini couldn't have staged this contrast better.

In the middle, the radiant bride - a dazzling white spot in the crowd.
And so white and life-affirming is Vive la mariee.
If white petals of jasmine and magnolia had fallen on the bride, I wouldn't have been surprised.
The praline cream and vanilla add a romantic sweetness to the whole picture.
The bridal scent, indeed.

But even as a seasoned wife, I enjoy wearing the fragrance - because it gives everything a bright glow.

That is also good for many a gray, dreary winter day.

Ready for a stormy wedding, 1 ton of hairspray secures not just the hairstyle but the veil too. Musty note included.

Fruity, the rose has a green undertone, a lot of powdery musk, a bit of tonka, yawn. I’d rather celebrate the old Rosissimo.

Another floral-fruity where the rose is somewhat overshadowed. Jasmine dominates the scent, which becomes sweeter and a bit...

More like laundry than a bride. Clean, yes, but with an unpleasant prickly hairspray touch. No bride should have to smell like this.

Smells perfect like fresh laundry. I would love this scent as a detergent, but as a perfume, it's just not enough for me, especially at that price.

White doves rise into the air. Petals float down on the bride. Sunbeams reflect in tears of joy. A brief dream.
