A wonderful vanilla that becomes one with my body.

In and with each other...

In my entire life, I have never taken so many blind fragrance purchases as during the Corona period. Buying a perfume without smelling it first? Impossible for me before. Powdery? Floral? Yes, all good and well, but that still doesn’t tell me how it smells. Puhhh... Whatever... Ordered. When Satin arrived, I first stumbled upon its elegant bottle. Wow, very well done... Then the first spray, and yes, I was really excited! The spray mist is already an experience! No joke! Totally fine and high-quality. Now to the scent. A sense of relief spreads. First thought: wow, does this smell goooooood!!!! Nothing, absolutely nothing, jumps out at me negatively. Everything smells rounded, feminine, elegant, with a hint of nostalgia (No, not old-fashioned!!) floral and simply elegant. Normally, I can easily recognize and describe individual notes in a fragrance. Here, it is really, really difficult for me. Everything is very well intertwined and connected. A scent that truly works anytime. It smells well-groomed, feminine, and simply likeable. For the office? Yes. For everyday life? Yes. For going out to eat? Yep. For visiting the in-laws? Of course. If I had to explain to someone who has never smelled a perfume in their life how a perfume generally smells, I would probably spray Satine by Lalique on their wrist.

Magic Powder Scent!

Satine... yes, the name fits this beautiful fragrance.
The first time I read about Satine here, I found it in a small perfumery so I could test it out first.
I personally find it always difficult to evaluate a scent among many other fragrance impressions, and so I couldn't take it home at first because I didn't smell anything except for a bit of powder.
Once home, however, my nose couldn't get away from my wrist. I was thrilled and went back the next day to bring Satine home.
Now to the scent:
Satine starts off with a powerful dose of powder that comes across quite spicy. I don't smell any flowers here. But that doesn't bother me. Too floral is always too much for me anyway. So, spicy powder... not bad.
Over time, Satine becomes warmer and softer. It hugs the skin so wonderfully. It's not loud but also not really quiet... somewhere in between.
Tonka bean and vanilla give it sweetness, while woods and patchouli prevent the scent from drifting into overly sweet territory. I don't pick up suede.
Satine is truly an extraordinary sweet-spicy-woody powder scent. It flatters and warms. With Satine, I feel seductive and very feminine!
The longevity is fantastic. I can smell the fragrance on me for a good 8 hours. Satine is also noticeable to others in the first hours before it becomes more intimate.
I can imagine Satine for any season, but in the height of summer, it would be more suitable for the evenings.
The bottle is beautiful, delicate, and elegant.
Conclusion: Satine is a seductive magic powder scent for me!

On Days Like These 2 x Daily Satine

I believe each of us knows this.
So much happens in our lives and in this world.
Despite everything, we always try to stay positive and make the best of everything.

But there are also days when this is particularly difficult for us, and we feel vulnerable and helpless.
Today is one of those days for me.
Then I seek comfort, security, and protection in a fragrance, and I always find it in Satine.

At first, warm tonka bean embraces me, and heliotrope softly says hello.
Gardenia brings lightness like a fresh morning, and jasmine whispers...Hey...I’ll sweeten your day a little. But not too sweet...whispers the pink pepper...because I bring a little looseness with me.
Soft sandalwood and gentle vanilla join in, and I already feel much better.
Just a bit of fine patchouli as a balm for the soul and vetiver for grounding.

Satine has done it again.
I feel comforted, secure, protected, gently embraced, and grounded once more.

With a small smile on my face, everything feels much lighter.

Nights in white satin

Today my eyes were caught by the noble Satine bottle - and my nose followed my eyes.

I haven't experienced such a fine powderiness in a long time.

However, the powder does not dull the fragrance; instead, it allows the soft satin to shine.

Delicate sweetness skillfully pairs with mild bitterness - yet the scent remains gentle and embracing.

Heliotrope shimmers like silk and is illuminated further by the jasmine.

Pepper and vanilla appear mildly sweet - but the cedar adds a smoky touch.
The patchouli is deep and sandalwood slightly spicy.

A balanced fragrance that conveys style and nobility.

I think of Moody Blues: Nights in White Satin - although to me, Satine seems more nude-colored than white.

But "Nights" float to my mind rather than "Days," as Satine lets delicate eroticism rustle softly like silk lingerie.

A feminine fragrance that celebrates femininity.
