L'Aimant Coty Parfum de Toilette

The gentlemen Francois Coty and Vincent Roubert were two of the "greatest noses" of the modern perfume world in their time. The former is the founder of the "industry for affordable scents for everyone." He standardized bottle production by collaborating with glass designers to create simple yet appealing containers for the beautiful "waters."
Likewise, he crafted formulas for continually new fragrant surprises.
A "veteran" in the "splash bottle" now stands before me, its contents completely intact and very alluring and interesting.
Even though this 'L Aimant' is quite a linear scent without "head and foot" and overall is "standing" from the very beginning, it behaves so variably within itself that new perspectives and views of it emerge from all sides. Remarkable is the "staying power" of the bright citrus notes, which skillfully frame everything from start to finish. And wonderfully spicy scents that are distinctly perceivable among roses, woods, orchids, "green" jasmine, and warm vanilla. I would guess clove and coriander are the main components. (It is quite possible that the above fragrance ingredient list is incomplete and/or that the scent may vary slightly from batch to batch)
In any case, it is characterized by great refinement and perfumery artistry, something that only a few can achieve nowadays. Perhaps a bit "out of time," and precisely for that reason, it is a very valuable statement from the masters of past eras! And even today, a wonderful "treat for the nose"!

It is the evening of the day...
I'm sitting watching children play...

We were invited to a summer party,
smart, in the little black dress.
Slowly, the evening is coming to an end.
The many conversations,
the noise,
a bit too much.

I retreat a little,
into the garden,
and watch the children playing on this warm summer evening.
They exude a slightly soapy, aldehydic-fresh scent.
The atmosphere is cheerful, cozy,
not disturbing despite their liveliness.
A light sweetness lingers in the air.

Melancholy overtakes me
as I remember my own childhood,
joyful, carefree.

A smile rests on my lips.
I deeply inhale the still warm air of late summer.
Jasmine, rose grow further back in the garden.
I perceive them very gently and delicately.
Nothing is loud anymore.

The youngest comes from the wooden swing
and climbs onto my lap.
The little one, with her vanilla ice cream ;)
I don't mind that she smears it on my little black dress,
because a soft, powdery-creamy veil of perfect harmony envelops us....

This ancient scent from Coty is truly a diamond.
Despite its intensity, it has nothing loud or screaming,
like many modern floral fragrances.
It is perfect.
