1st Celebrity Fragrance
This was the first celebrity fragrance. It has fallen into obscurity over the years and has long disappeared off retail shelves. I found a stash in my mother's vanity! Coty was once the greatest marketer for inexpensive quality fragrance. This proved to be one of the best. For chypre lovers, that is...

It opens with bergamot, lemon and oakmoss. It has a genious heart of neroli, jasmine, rose, lily of the valley and oakmoss, perhaps more. It closes with more oakmoss, patcholi and vetiver. Toss in some civet and vanilla and you get a stunning complex refined and yes, mature bold chypre. It was a bit over the top for todays noses.

It last for several hours and makes one think, no, they dont make um like this anymore. The cost was about $4.99 a bottle in the day. Hey, the glamour of Sophia Lauren was just a spray away. I wonder if she still keeps bottle around? Frankly, it was the best celebrity launch, IMO...

Good morning! Good day! Good evening Sophia!
Creating star fragrances and marketing them with the respective star as a brand ambassador is a - newer - tradition of the Coty house, which today focuses almost entirely on this type of perfume production.

One of the first star fragrances was Sophia - a tribute to Sophia Loren, the grande dame of Italian cinema. I recommend every parfumo to watch the aforementioned video.

When I saw this beautiful, dark red glass bottle with the golden cap online, which was very affordably priced since it was used, I ordered it - and I do not regret it.

Rarely - very rarely - does a fragrance match the artist so perfectly as in this case. So far, I have only encountered this twice. The first time was with L'Interdit and Audrey Hepburn, and the second time yesterday and today with Sophia and Sophia Loren.

In the opening, it is slightly fruity - I would say peach and orange - later it becomes very elegant, soft, and sensually floral. Clearly, the rose plays a significant role here.

The oriental touch that announces itself in the heart note becomes stronger later, with a certain fine sweetness, just enough to emphasize the elegance without destroying it.

The fragrance lingers on this note for many hours. Only after about 8 hours does it change again and become fresher, meaning, soapier. But that does not mean it now smells like soap; rather, it has a very clean and fresh scent. I know this type of fragrance from Mediterranean countries. Many people in these countries smell like this. Like just freshly showered, surrounded by a wonderful, fine, soft, clean scent cloud.

By now, Sophia has completely captivated me. This fragrance is beautiful, sensual, elegant, chic, and as natural as Sophia herself. Her brown, almond-shaped, slightly slanted eyes, her sensual lips, her perfect facial shape, and her beautiful hair - to feel like Sophia for once...

How does Sophia say in the video clip? "Wear it with passion!"

This seems to be a Cinnabar copy, but it doesn't quite reach that level. A typical Euro-Oriental with a lush floral and spice combo and ....

This characteristically experimental 80s fragrance overwhelms me: spicy, smoky, animalistic, woody, green, aldehydic, floral - EVERYTHING!
