India vs U.A.E. Who Did It Better?

Sonjoschka's review of Diable Bleu piqued my interest. Is the version produced in the U.A.E. possibly better? I now have both bottles. The one from the Emirates is older, stamped 2014. Amazing that time seems to have had no effect on it. Questionable whether the Indian one has changed in that direction as well. The juice in the 2014 bottle is much darker.
So, U.A.E. on the left side, India on the right wrist. Here we go.
The U.A.E. version is indeed a bit more intense and has a slightly smoky (?) note that I miss in the Indian version. The Indian one also smells thinner, if you know what I mean. It is also much closer to the skin, while the Emirati one is more noticeable. Through clothing, the left one is still easy to sniff, while the Indian one doesn't stand a chance. Longevity, well, you can guess it, left lasts longer than right.
My conclusion, if you're considering a purchase, look for an old batch from the Emirates. It may not compete with the true angel, but for the price, it's quite nice.

Breaking a Lance for...

So, first of all, I have to break a lance for Diable Bleu. Tastes are thankfully different, and on some skins, the same fragrance smells completely different. I knew it wouldn’t be an incomparable top-class scent when I ordered it for 7 euros. After today’s sniffing at Douglas, I can also say that it definitely does not smell like Angel (bahhh!).

Upon the first spray, I was rather reluctant and wanted to get rid of the - and I must admit here - not very high-quality bottle. But my boyfriend practically glued his nose to my wrist and asked me to give the fragrance a chance.
I did.
And I am very glad about it!

The strange, slightly biting scent transforms into a fresh-floral-sweet aroma. I can smell peach, and a warm note, perhaps a combination of vanilla and amber? It doesn’t matter, because this scent layer also fades quite quickly. And what remains for me....

Warmth.
Cuddly, light warmth. Not the warm cuddly blanket sewn by mom that I would have wished for as a scent. But a warm wool blanket that I will consider when the mild autumn day gets cooler in the evening.
The pair of cozy socks on a Sunday morning.
The little hug from my boyfriend after a long workday. Nothing that’s the ultimate comfort patch - but a relaxing breath.
And that all day long.

I don’t know why, but this last scent accord lasts for me through an 8-hour workday with ease. And time and again, I catch myself smelling my wrist.
Not the destination on my journey to the perfect cuddly-mom scent - but definitely a nice stop at the beginning. :)

Sometimes it’s worth giving chances after all.....

Online, this fragrance is marketed as a good Angel dupe. It is supposed to be intense and quite long-lasting.
The scent notes also match up pretty well.
The bottle, which is made quite cheaply, features a star and the packaging shows angels. You can see rough edges on the plastic cap, which are additionally quite sharp.
I ordered it once and will probably use it as a toilet spray.

It starts off quite citrusy, fresh, and does indeed remind me of Angel. However, it is much lighter, more like a spring angel.
The scent also fades significantly after 30 minutes, and unfortunately, a chemical, unpleasant note remains, which I unfortunately recognize from Chinese replicas.

I ordered two other fragrances from Creation Lamis and noticed that two of the three fragrances were made in India and one in the U.A.E. (United Arab Emirates). The one from the Emirates is the best of the three fragrances. It is the most intense and lasts quite a long time.
It is likely that the production country was moved to allow for even cheaper production. The fragrances may have only become thin and short-lasting since then. I can't explain the positive feedback on Diable Bleu any other way.
