Beaches in summer
This fragrance starts with a surge of salty driftwood, musk, and sweet juicy pear, the lightly floral fruitiness kept on the savory side by a touch of anise. After a couple of minutes on the skin, the anise and the fresh nuances of the pear fade, leaving behind a complex interplay of salty musk, dried pear and walnut liqueur. Over time, the salty musk softens, introducing notes of white wood and something ever so slightly indolic, which stops the frag from becoming too dry. This stage lingers for a couple of hours. Catching a whiff reminds me of walks along the beach in the summertime; the smell of sand, sun-baked driftwood, and warm salty skin until eventually drying down into a delicate skin-scent with mineral nuances.
Sillage is moderate; it won't blast away your colleagues, but they'll notice it when you walk past. Longevity is also moderate; it lasts a good 3-4 hours, lingering as a skin scent for a couple of hours after that. Like all Criminal Elements frags I've tried so far, quality is outstanding; the strength is good, you get excellent bang for your buck.
