industrial soap
My niece is wild about peonies, so I'm trying a variety of peony fragrances before sending them along to her. This was a very brief experiment for me. Upon spraying this, I felt a sudden return to elementary school and the pink goo available as soap in the bathrooms. It didn't smell like anything in nature, just the most abstract and cheap version of "clean." I thought I'd try to keep wearing it, as it was not offensive. However, it dried down into smelling like the Topps baseball cards that came with bubble gum. When you opened it, you got a combination of the slightly waxy wrapper, the lightweight cardboard in the cards, and the flat, extruded wafer that you had to keep in your mouth for a while before it turned into gum.
When I want to "walk down Memory Lane," the memories I'm seeking to encounter have little to do with school bathrooms or baseball cards. I give up. I scrubbed.
