Pumpkin pie for Halloween
Hey hey and welcome to my latest comment. It's time again for a Demeter fragrance, that is this fragrance library, for which Demeter likes to produce all kinds of fragrances, which sometimes smell good, but sometimes are so brutal that they could be used as an instrument of torture,... or torture scent :D
But now comes Pumpkin Pie, which in itself sounds delicious, although I personally am not a soo big fan of pumpkin pie. On the other hand, I haven't tried pumpkin pie for a very long time, so I don't know if I would like it today after all. And yes, I know what you are thinking right now: WHAT? Don Juan de Cat is bugging everybody about how cool he thinks Halloween is and doesn't like pumpkin pie? That's right. Who knew, right? Who knows what next year will be like, now it takes almost a year until Halloween again *sigh*... Well, hopefully next Halloween will be Corona-free... or at least to some extent...
But now I come to the fragrance, which still sounds delicious :D
But back to the fragrance:
The scent of pumpkin also rises slightly, but you have to smell it carefully. However, for me it does not smell like baked pumpkin, but rather like fresh pumpkin, which smells so slightly greenish and juicy. It's like hollowing out a pumpkin (or in your case even cutting it, if you want to eat it and not turn it into a Halloween face).
As I said, the pumpkin scent is rather weak, but nevertheless the scent already smells like cake, because soon the clove becomes a bit weaker and you can smell this "baked goods" note well, as mentioned, and because there is also cinnamon, everything smells like cake. So very tasty. And that's it, there's nothing more to smell, so the smell is quite simple.
The shelf life is okay, five to six hours he was smelling good on my skin.
The bottle! The bottle is rectangular and very functional. It has a cluttered label on the front with an orange stripe with the fragrance name on it. The cap is cylindrical and looks cheap. All in all, a rather ugly bottle :D
Apart from that the scent makes me think a lot about Halloween *sigh*
One of my favourite seasons, which has totally fallen through this year, and other nice events like Christmas will fall through as well, and it even looks like the crisis will not be finally over next year (but hopefully for autumn and winter!))... which is not because there is no vaccine for the pandemic yet, but because people in general are acting more stupid than ever before in human history, questioning everything, not sticking to anything and yes, that's why all viruses can flourish everywhere :D

The smell:
Soo, so the fragrance smells at the beginning mostly like cloves. But behind the carnations I can also smell a little bit of "baked goods", somehow it has something of those ready-made cake bases you get from supermarkets and stuff (but what do you really call those things? I have no idea about anything, I think I just call it Do it yourself cake-bottom-thing!), which you can cover as you like, like with fruit, gummi bears, ketchup, sausages... depending on what you feel like doing :DBut back to the fragrance:

The Sillage and the durability:

Conclusion:
So that was Demeter's pumpkin pie. A nice scent, which maybe has a ticking too strong carnation, but otherwise smells quite pleasant. It doesn't necessarily smell like a fragrance that would belong to a fragrance library, but is quite wearable, especially in autumn and winter. Because while the carnation has a spicy touch, the cinnamon radiates a spicy sweetness, which can be found in this form in many other fragrances (especially wintery Christmas scents) with cinnamon. Theoretically, you can even use the scent for going out, as the shelf life is not so bad, but still not as long as real perfumes. Apart from that the scent makes me think a lot about Halloween *sigh*
