Full Gallop is dedicated by Diana Vreeland to her love of dance, and the fragrance feels like a dance on the skin. It completely caught me ... with full gallop in nose and heart :)
About the fragrance:
Full Gallop starts off a bit scratchy ... I would say it’s the combination of jasmine, coriander, and pepper ... it tingles in the nose and you first think "uff" not so nice!
Once the opening is over, it becomes wonderful ... I promise :)
Then iris powder dusts everything with purple speckles, and Full Gallop dances beautifully on the skin. Osmanthus lifts the mood and adds a lovely peach aroma. I can't detect the rose.
In the base, heliotrope adds a powdery, almondy vanilla veil. Amber and musk complete the dance.
Full Gallop is floral-powdery-spicy and subtly sweet ... full of passion and warmth. Feminine ... sensual ... fiery ... simply wow!
The longevity is a good 8 hours ... the sillage is impressive. In the first hours, it is quite intense before it tempers a bit ;)
I exclude summer ... but for spring/autumn and winter, it’s a fragrance that can be worn on many occasions.
The bottle has the typical shape of Vreeland fragrances ... this time in a beautiful violet. It feels high-quality and fits well in the hand.
Conclusion:
With full gallop in nose & heart!
