Shooting Gallery Romance
Eddy had a tough time. Day in and day out, he sat in the horror cabinet dressed as a skeleton, scaring customers for a few coins. He was melancholic these days. His beloved hot blonde had given him the boot. She was now in love with the young guy from the bumper cars across the way. When evening came and the fairground donned the brightest neon colors of the universe, Eddy found distraction. He then fully immersed himself in his work.
Despite everything, Eddy pondered; he just couldn't quite understand what she saw in that bumper car guy. As he sat there in his costume, lost in thought and reflecting on the past weeks, it dawned on him that the whole affair must have something to do with his Valentine's Day gift. It was Hearts & Daggers by Ed Hardy. He had won it at the shooting gallery right across and proudly presented it to his sweetheart, and thus the misfortune began...
The manufacturer didn’t break a sweat in deciding to stop producing this perfume. The cow had to be milked, and it was until the last drop. That very drop now stands as a representative for the small series of Ed Hardy perfumes. The bottle accidentally landed in my hands a few years ago, and I sprayed a hint on my wrist from a certain distance, almost turning away in slight discomfort.
The base note is almost completely suffocated in a conglomerate of apple, mango, and blood orange. The violet leaf quietly screams in the background, and the jasmine cowers completely frightened in the farthest corner. It steams synthetically and sweetly from every pore, making the imprint "Love kills slowly" take on a new meaning.
The bottle is so exceedingly unattractive that the perfume quickly disappeared to the back corner of the cabinet, and its fate was inevitably to be sold on the well-known auction platform... even at a profit. Tragic!
