Poopoo Pidoo Ego Facto 2009

Inoffensive contemporary style, fresh sweet cream of orange blossom with a clean musk drydown. Enjoyable in summer. Tender, easy to wear and well behaved perfume. Perfect for work. Moderate longevity and soft airy sillage.

I came across Poopoo Pidoo quite by chance. I received it as a bonus with less than a quarter of the content of another fragrance. The brand Ego Facto was completely unknown to me until then. Well, you don't look a gift horse in the mouth, so I tested it without prejudice. And now the rest of the bottle is almost empty.

It doesn't seem to be very popular here, but I think it's good. My impression of Poopoo Pidoo:

It starts with gentle citrus notes, rather mild, not sour. It has a slightly vanilla undertone, one might think, just very subtle. This could come from the amber, as vanilla is not listed in the fragrance pyramid. At the same time, it has something slightly powdery about it, which makes me think of rice flour. I have to think of lemon tarts or slices with a bit of cream. Refreshingly citrusy and at the same time creamy, lightly powdery. Very pleasant overall!
It doesn't change much. The base is soft and balsamic. The longevity isn't great, with a maximum of four hours, but you can always reapply. In any case, the scent is suitable for everyday wear and good for daytime at work. You smell pleasant and don't disturb anyone.

It reminds me a bit of Emeraude as an EdC and Eau de Shalimar. A quite successful fragrance!
There are definitely worse ones. So you can wear it well as an "everyday substitute" for the beautiful Emeraude when you have cravings for Emeraude but want to save on the noble and rare Coty scent.

My second fragrance from EGOFACTO and again no hit. I have no idea what the name refers to, anyway 'Poopoo Pidoo' is neither particularly capricious nor playful. After spraying, the typical 4711 neroli note spreads, which I personally like very much - yes, lynch me, I like 4711 - and then...hm, yes, where is it? After 10 minutes, practically nothing is left, apart from a very nice, but also very subtle powder note. If that's rice flour, I really like it. But I can only sniff it if I smell directly on the skin.

I can still perceive the musk, but not the woods and nothing else that would really excite me. Conclusion: As far as sillage and longevity are concerned, 'Poopoo Pidoo' is more of a body spray and in terms of scent...what's it called again...oh yes: Nice.

I must confess that fresh scents don't always appeal to me. Usually, it's due to a lemon note that is too drastically applied in the top notes and a lackluster overall concept.

Here, I can't quite pin it down. The top note is very lemony, but also somehow not. There’s something unusual lingering in the background.

I only know the scent of rice powder in a pre-aromatized form, so I can't say how the natural product smells and whether this is responsible for the strange note.

At times, I have the impression of wearing two fragrances with different scent directions right next to each other, one fresh and one spicy-sweet. I'm waiting for the scent to choose one of the two directions, which it refuses to do until the very end.

It raises the question for me whether Poopoo Pidoo is meant to be a reminiscence of Monroe? In my opinion, that doesn’t really fit together! For such a sensual woman, this perfume is too unremarkable and reserved.

I perceive this scent more as an office fragrance with a tendency towards the capricious.

Conclusion: not bad, but I miss a clear scent direction on my skin!

...indefinable to my nose and I wonder why this "fragrance" is even rated as a perfume, I find it incomprehensible. No, I would rather smell the worst toilet spray (because that would surely smell better). I can't comment on the longevity, as this scent was washed off after 30 minutes because I got a headache.

I apologize for my frank words and for being so harsh about it - but I can't stand this thing...
