Harmattan Ella K Parfums 2021

Leather Trilogy collection by Ella K is dedicated to African winds. Harmatan is the wind that blows from the Sahara and brings drought, dust and coolness to West Africa, often causing tornadoes and obscuring the sun with clouds of dust.

The main elements of the composition are geranium leaves, cedar needles, citrus notes, ambroxan, leather, suede and musk.

This is a very "aromatic" composition, built on the contrast between pungent fresh sounding green and citrus notes and dry mineral effect of ambroxan. Musk and leather dampened the composition after a short time, mimicking the blurred effect that occurs when dust blocks the sun's rays and the terrain becomes dark.

I liked this fragrance very much. Many people immediately recognize Dior Sauvage in it, although it's not that obvious with the three notes declared. Harmattan's scent doesn't have the powdery white fury inherent in Sauvage, though I wouldn't say there's much less ambroxan here. Still, Harmattan is balanced differently, and the soft leather accord gives Harmattan a different feel than Sauvage.

A modern and sophisticated fragrance! You should definitely give it a try!
