Sexy asffff
Smells like a chill confident dude who wraps an arm around your shoulder thats comfortable to be around. There’s just something warm, and sexy about this one in the drydown

Smells like a Werewolf. Its earthy, musky, and green cardamom. Thankfully the cannabis isn’t something thats loud enough to detect

Really interesting and almost nostalgic masculine scent here.

Familiar alternative
DesirToxic is a good deal when considering it’s a blend of Opium Pour Homme by Yves Saint Laurent, A*Men Pure Havane from Mugler, and with hints of PDM Layton. I actually prefer this one more than those two because it amalgamates the best aspects of both, but lacks something more that would elevate it to another level.

TOP NOTES
The opening is great, smooth, and nostalgic. Achieving this without disrupting the entire composition is a feat of its own.
Whether you’re young or old, new or experienced with perfumes, you’ll probably enjoy it as well. At the forefront, a burst of citrus zest dances on the skin, invigorating the senses with its lively and fresh demeanor. This quickly transitions into a delightful spicy kick, emanating from a state-of-the-art cardamom note that is blended terrifically.

HEART NOTES
Cannabis, the obvious elephant in the room, is non-existent here, so don’t worry that you’ll smell like “weed”.
It’s just a marketing ploy to keep you talking about this perfume. For comparison, this accord is more pronounced in Nasomatto’s Black Afgano. Along with black currant and still detectable cardamom from the opening, cinnamon, and tonka bean join the party, making it more sexy and inviting, which gives it a layer of intrigue, keeping the overall composition dynamic and engaging. With that said, I can also guarantee with certainty that there is also a cherry-like pipe tobacco note inside here that ties it up with Pure Havane, not disclosed in the official note breakdown.

BASE NOTES
At the foundation of the composition lies a rich woody, pipe tobaccoish, and vanillic accord which rarely goes wrong. The vanilla is more of a dusty kind, and the oakmoss is devoid of its bitterness. In the end, it provides a semi-sweet and comforting undertone along with a magnetic musk resonance to finish this symphony with a bang.

CONCLUSION
In this perfume story, there is good and bad as well. Thankfully, the positive sides are strong enough to make it all right in the end. DesirToxic fits into this tale perfectly and invites you for another ride. Is this scent a toxic desire as the name suggests? Probably not. More like a dear friend you haven’t seen for a while that brings back all the great memories you have created through life together. That’s what this is all about.

Love it
Very curious to smell it... I loved it!
The sparkling, citrusy opening evolves and transforms it into a clean fragrance, but with something masculine in the background, which, however, in my opinion, is also very wearable by a woman... I would gladly wear it, in fact, I am considering purchasing it!
For me, his notes are very fresh, ideal for spring.
Personally I can't take my nose off my wrist, it's a fragrance that I consider very relevant to me as a person...
I also see it well in Godward's Nerissa: a seductive, beautiful woman who however has a hidden masculinity in her appearance that makes her even more fascinating.

One of the Few Worth the Hype
I first learned about DesirToxic from a handful of fragrance influencers who I initially completely wrote off as shill reviews. It seemed like the usual free bottle gang where M. Micallef just sent out a bunch of free bottles and said say nice things about us and the bottles keep coming.

I let curiosity get the best of me and I ended up grabbing samples of DesirToxic and the Intense flanker. I am shocked to report that this fragrance was absolutely worth the hype it received. It’s a dark fragrance with loads of cardamom, cinnamon, and spices that is counter balanced by some bright citrus and very green base due to the cannabis and patchouli. Usually hemp or cannabis notes are a no go for me because I despise the smell of weed, but in this it is VERY well done. It doesn’t come off as skunky and for those that don’t know the listed notes, they would never guess that the green edge to the fragrance was in part due to a cannabis note.

After my first full wear, I noticed that this fragrance is always changing and at moments, comes across sweet and spicy, but at the drop of the hat, will turn very green and almost have a neo-fougere kind of barbershop feel.

I don’t really get the comparisons to Layton other than the cardamom. Layton has a lot of apple that is absent from DesirToxic and DesirToxic lacks the Vick’s Vaporub mentholated note that many people get from Layton.

DesirToxic is not a weak fragrance but it’s not going to be classified as “beast mode” from the new generation of TikTok frag heads who demand 24 hours of longevity and projection from their fragrances. DesirToxic lasted my 8 hour work day with moderate projection and that passes the test for me. Those who want more push can either go a little heavier on the sprays or opt for the more powerful Intense flanker. It should be noted that these two are pretty different with the intense flanker amping up the green notes with the addition of Mint. The intense comes off as more of a traditional masculine powerhouse fragrance that is a throwback to an 80’s Fougere. Think Drakkar Noir only more modernized.

The bottle and presentation is beautiful, despite a mediocre atomizer and a cap that doesn’t hold on very tightly. Minor gripes and definitely not deal breakers.

The price is steep when paying retail, but very fair from discounter websites. I’d say the $125 to $150 mark is more than reasonable for a 3.3oz bottle.

Sexy AF
I wore a decant of this to a club last night and an attractive woman walked right up to me, pulling me into her, pressing her body hard up to mine, and fervently said, “Whatever you’re wearing, I want it all over my body.” No joke. Then she asked me what it’s called and I said DesirToxic, and she said, “Of course it is.” I’m buying a full bottle today. Can’t make this stuff up.

Quite generic/designer-esque (tonka overload). Vibes of creamy artemisia (Papilefiko) and masculine-aromatic (Layton). All-year/date night.

The opening feels like 2 layered fragrances, with little harmony. The dry-down finds its voice and radiates intrigue until close.

A very pleasant perfume at first, but it's the sort of thing that gets old fast. I don't see myself buying a full bottle.
