SUMMARY REVIEW

Royal Secret II is a wonderful creamy & powdery oriental, with cinnamon & vanilla. It's a lot like Coco but softer, more modern, more powder. It's also alot like Boudoir but without rose and dirty panties. RSII is just about perfect for me, and but sadly it has become difficult to find. Once available for about $15 for a 30ml bottle, now it's easily three times that. In my opinion, the quality does justify the current price.
If you like powdery fragrances like I do, definitely give this one a try.

DETAILED REVIEW

Royal Secret II quickly develops into a creamy woods with a tad of cinnamon & vanilla thrown in for good measure. Royal Secret II is a perfume, not a cupcake, and doesn't have the edible quality of a gourmand. Yet it feels like a gourmand - sounds weird, I know. I just wish it was a little longer lasting, but at this price who cares.
But a floral chypre? More like a modern, woody oriental to me. The citrus -- if it's there -- is fleeting. Instead, I get dirty diapers that pass quickly, thank goodness. Also, the white florals don't even show up to the party and the patch is not central to the composition. There are traces of powder from top to bottom, probably due to the iris note.
Royal Secret II is intoxicating & smooth. What a wrist inhaler! It's nothing like the original, which is similar to Youth-Dew but much cruder by comparison. Royal Secret II will be perfect for the holidays.
Vanilla, cinnamon, powder. In the same range as Boudoir, without rose, and probably more pleasing to most. Also, bright like Roma. Make sense? Probably not, but I love it! ♥
Have it in an EdT. Would love to find a lotion or EdP for layering. Looking to get more of this, most certainly!
I am so disappointed that RSII has become hard to find. It wasn't too long ago that full size bottles were available from etailers for under $15. Regardless, I still love it!
