There was a time when designer fragrances had class..
There was something about designer fragrances from the early years of this millennium. Perhaps the design houses were more willing to take risks back then, the perfumers were more creative or the raw materials were of better quality... or all of the above. In any case, my beloved treasures from that time (Emporio Armani White, Kenzoair and Farhi Homme) always give me a very special feeling when I wear them: I could lick myself, I find them so delicious!
Farhi Homme starts off ethereal and herbal, freshened by the lime. I don't smell tea that much, but the combination of mugwort, lime and eucalyptus is unique and ingenious! In addition, this top note lasts forever, easily 4-5 hours, until the pepper (bright and radiant, not clumsy and scratchy) slowly takes over. I don't know what birch leaves smell like, supposedly balsamic. Maybe they make the pepper note so pleasant. Great longevity here too, the fragrance definitely lasts 8-9 hours in total.
I don't smell much of the base note, patchouli and musk probably contribute more to the overall impression and ensure durability.
In summary, a unique, super-pleasant composition, unfortunately discontinued years ago (probably when Ms. Farhi sold her label). At the time, I was actually able to get hold of the remaining copies from the HQ in London and am very happy every time I wear it, because... (now read the text from the beginning again :-) ).
