Traveling Through the Universe and Maybe Picking Up Alien Women
Good evening, you scent enthusiasts! Today, I’m coming to a fragrance that reflects an old dream of humanity in its name, namely traveling through the universe (Across the Universe). Not only Star Wars nerds like me have this dream, but probably many, many other people as well, since there could be nothing more exciting than seeing alien planets or even universes!
Just imagine what one could see (or not see due to the limited color spectrum of the human eye… there are surely colors that have never been seen before, and one would go insane if suddenly discovering a color never seen before, and probably it would be such a beautiful color that one could never get enough of it!!! He he he,… waah!).
And for singles like me, there might be more opportunities to meet someone beyond the catty Earth women, but wait,… with my luck, the alien woman would either be a slimy thing,… or look like a modern, cubic painting and have a face like the woman far right at the bottom of Picasso's painting "Les Demoiselles d’Avignon," phew!!! :DD
Anyway, since we probably won’t be able to explore the universe for quite a while (which really would be necessary… no, not because of the girls, but because we keep destroying our planet!), we can at least discover new scents and continue our olfactory journeys. Well, that brings me to the fragrance description! And I apologize for referring to you ladies as catty Earth women :DD
Not much else happens. Even much later, you can still smell the lemons quite well, even if they should come across as significantly weaker and less zesty than at the beginning. The musk doesn’t get any stronger either, so the fragrance turns out to be rather unsweet or only very slightly sweet. And that’s actually it, as the fragrance doesn’t last particularly long. A nice, citrusy scent that refreshes quickly and well, but offers little variety and longevity.
So, that was Across the Universe, and believe me, the fragrance does not feel like a journey through space or the universe. I would have expected a fragrance full of variety with many different notes. Perhaps Across the Universe is also just inspired by the eponymous song by the Beatles, who composed this song during their Indian meditation attempts, where they tried Transcendental Meditation techniques to master things like "Yogic Flying" to reach higher states of consciousness, which could indeed feel like a journey through the universe :))
Anyway, the fragrance is thus low in variety, but it smells wonderfully of authentic and zesty lemon, which is especially refreshing on really hot days. Additionally, there are white flowers that smell light and airy, enhancing the feeling of summer. Despite all its simplicity, I find the fragrance beautiful and think it could appeal to citrus lovers. Oh, and despite the floral notes, it is already unisex, so I don’t find it purely feminine.
So, it hasn’t turned out to be a journey into space,… it seems that I am indeed limited to Earth when it comes to ladies,… which significantly reduces my chances of finding something nice, doesn’t it? At least compared to the gigantic universe!!! … *sigh* :DD
Aside from that: Just think of alien cats!!! What adorable cuddly creatures there must be!! :))
So then, I wish you all a lovely evening, a good start to the week, and until next time,… oh, and may the Force be with you :D

The Fragrance:
Ah, the fragrance starts off very nicely citrusy with a rather authentically scented Amalfi lemon. Alongside, it has light, aquatic notes and an initial sweetness from the musk. After a short while, you can still smell the white flowers, which of course are not really identifiable (at least not by me!).
The Sillage and Longevity:
As is common with lemon fragrances, the sillage is unfortunately quite low. But at least it’s enough to feel fresh on hot days and to be somewhat (for a short time) pleasantly noticeable up close. The longevity is therefore also quite short. After just three hours, it’s so weak that it’s close to the body, and you can hardly smell anything anymore. The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and filled with yellow fragrance liquid. It has a white, narrow label with the fragrance name and the logo, which depicts the Pharos (the lighthouse) of Alexandria. The bottle seems to be of high quality, even though it should appear simple. So, that was Across the Universe, and believe me, the fragrance does not feel like a journey through space or the universe. I would have expected a fragrance full of variety with many different notes.
