Lime blossoms...? on synthetic soap bed

A blind purchase (I had actually forbidden myself), but after some praise on the net and the prospect of a bit of early summer feeling I couldn't resist. Here I get lime blossoms in this simply beautiful bottle and in the prelude actually delivered. However, the fragrance lacks that homely and beguiling sweetness that real linden blossoms exude, and which one "sniffs" in the park and during a car ride with the window open. Addictive, like the scent of lilac in spring. There is something pungent about it. No sooner has the nose identified the lime tree than it is struck down by a synthetic green ivy soap, and I mourn this first, brief impression, which almost - but only almost - came so close to the lime tree blossom. I miss the warmth, a creamy base and comforting depth, so that one wants to wear it on the skin. The fragrance is distant, crisp, metallically clinking and with a touch of vintage. A fragrance experience like in a laboratory, but for my senses there is no sensual connection. I do not want it on me. It's strange. Maybe it's more of a room scent..
A few more remarks about the fragrance manufacture and the contents of the package. Instead of samples you can order scent cards (with costs...!) to test other scents of the house. These are in small card sleeves made of paper and, unfortunately, they release part of their potential to their environment already during transport. And yes, they mix a little with each other... In this respect my impression can be quite falsified. I had decided to use cards from No. 16 Jardin Vertical (smells here mainly violets and unfortunately hardly any rice), No. 08 Été Éternel (phew, La Poeme appeal - too much), No. 17 Laundrette (not round, pungent - but maybe it develops on the skin) and No. 68 New York (not for me, but maybe something for the man, even if with a little too much sharpness).

So that was my trip to Berlin, from which I return somewhat disillusioned to my Fav fragrances, which seem to have more complexity. BUT: If we can travel again, I would like to give the local manufactory a real chance. Maybe I can put together a nice, matching fragrance from the building blocks. I think the concept is great in any case. And here, I just haven't found a match yet.
