Espresso with (very) brown sugar
No, I am not a passionate coffee drinker; I prefer black or green tea! Okay, occasionally a cappuccino (unsweetened) or if I have a classic cup of coffee, then black, very strong, and without sugar.
No, "Joe" does not smell like that to my nose. Although the coffee note, especially at the beginning, is quite pronounced - perhaps even one of the most intense coffee notes I have encountered in a perfume. But it is accompanied by an equally strong, and later even dominating, sugar note: it is not normal white sugar, but either maple syrup or brown sugar, or maybe even slightly burnt sugar. This note just manages to avoid being too overpowering. This is also because the perfume loses its presence significantly after a spectacular start, making the pronounced sweetness seem more moderate. I also think I have smelled this typical "brown sugar note" in other perfumes from the brand; it seems to be a kind of signature characteristic....
I don't find the association with chocolate coffee beans unreasonable, but I rather think of those hard coffee candies with a slight caramel aroma.
"Joe" is, for me, a typical gourmand scent, here specifically for fans of strongly sweetened coffee.
