Italian Know-how
Today the package arrived. Genny Noir was sold to me at a nice price by a lovely perfumist. My heartfelt thanks go to Demeter1003.
The scent is simply brilliantly crafted; there's no other way to put it. I already have it, but today it really "hit me" again.
What is scratchy and stubborn for some is, for others (I count myself among them), a Chypre of the most pleasant, softest, roundest kind. A fragrance that is no longer created in this form today, which is more than regrettable.
Of course, one must like Chypre scents; otherwise, one is on lost ground here. It is spicy, green-floral, velvety, noble, elegant, a timeless classic of the finest kind.
These immature (meant in the best sense) "petitgrain-lemony" notes that initially emit a scent that somehow immediately transports you to Italy, this spicy aroma that - as I learned - emanates from cardamom, the Osmanthus scent, so multifaceted and floral-woody, that it is a true joy, leave me smiling delightfully.
In addition, of course (it simply has to be there), warm, softly scented jasmine, paired with joyfully sunny rose. It is simply beautiful, floral-spicy-elegant. I can only repeat myself.
The spectacular finish is also impressive, as the combination of the slightly earthy labdanum with just the right dose of amber and patchouli, as well as oak moss, means for me the fragrance paradise par excellence.
A relaxed yet very self-assured scent that the Italians masterfully know how to create, and one that you can truly wear with great pride.
