I've Got You Under My Skin
I′ve got you under my skin
I have got you, deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me
I′ve got you under my skin
I'd tried so, not to give in
And I said to myself this affair it never will go so well
But why should I try to resist when baby I know so well
That I've got you under my skin
I′d sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of having you near
In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night
And repeats, repeats in my ear
Sung by old blue eyes Frank Sinatra 75 years ago. Oh yes...
Antilope is on my skin and went very, very under my skin.
The measly statement I wrote cannot do justice to this dream fragrance. It needs more words and a story of a life lived. A true story!
in 1999, I went on the biggest trip of my life. I was in South Africa. Not as a tourist, but at the invitation of friends. Non-stop from Frankfurt. Almost 11 hours flight in a Boeing 747 400 to Johannesburg. A night flight. You had to sort out your bones in the morning after landing. Apart from Johannesburg, I was also in Pretoria and Soweto. A colored friend took us there. I don't want to comment on the conditions there.
But the biggest adventure was the Kruger National Park and the safari lasting several days. Very exhausting, very impressive, unforgettable.
We drove with a safari truck and a guide. Elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, baboons, warthogs, ostriches etc. and 2 old lions, up close. And of course antelopes. Impalas wherever you looked. Nice, relatively small antelopes. Which brings us to the topic. Of course I didn't touch the pretty impalas. We weren't allowed to get out of the car. They certainly didn't smell of the perfume either. Our antelope here is bathed in foam, finely seasoned and rubbed with lemons - no living impala would put up with that.
She is standing in a flower bed and happily grazing. Although the flower parade in Kruger Park doesn't grow at all. I was there in November, which is spring in South Africa, and our guide said we should be happy because the bush is not yet so overgrown and green. The scent is also a little greenish, vetiver green. But the most beautiful thing is the soft leather note in the base. It lays on like a warm, creamy coat.
Antilope is not a thunder chypre. It is well balanced and nobody needs to be afraid of too much animalism here.
I′ve got you under my skin
I have got you, deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me
I′ve got you under my skin.
