You Glossier 2017 Eau de Parfum

I have been directly charmed by the Glossier fragrance! This is THE fragrance of cleanliness that I have been looking for so long. Clean and neat without smelling too soapy, synthetic, old-fashioned, powdery or dusty. No irritating florals, no standing notes, no associations with a cleaning or detergent.

What you smell is round, minimally sweet, soft and very pleasant. On the one hand, the smell is attractive and - I have never said this about any fragrance - seductive. Maybe I'm alone here, but there's something sexy in that, smelling so naked and fresh. On my skin it seems super feminine, but by the fact that this is a molecular fragrance, it could unfold quite differently on male skin.

As for the individual notes, hardly any stand out - the notes are so closely related. When I look at the fragrance pyramid given here, it makes sense to me. It starts with a light pepperiness. There is something noble from the ambergris seeds that make Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne elegant. There's also the physical freshness from the ambroxan, something soft and skin-touching from the musk, and something delicate and almost buttery from the orris root.

Glossier is famous because of his "no-makeup" makeup, and this philosophy was also applied to the fragrance. A fragrance that is inseparable from its wearer.
