Oh dear God...

I had to really control myself to give this an objective review, I just found it so plainly nauseating. It's just too much for me, frankly, and I've been able to tolerate other fragrances like Red Tobacco, "Patchouli Magnetik | Maison Crivelli", etc. and allow them to develop so that I can discover and appreciate them fully. This one, though...it's just cheap bling. Screechy, cheap sandalwood, burnt plastic-like sweet orchid, no cinnamon. And boy, is she loud! She'll trumpet your presence and leave a trail of lethal nerve gas behind you. User beware.

A femme fatale in gold

A super erotic fragrance, it has a Tom Ford quality and feel to it. No wonder that I love it. There is a smoldering sweetness to this that, combined with the warm spice, brings pure sensuality to the surface. A real femme fatale in my opinion. I do not get the masculine vibe at all. For me it is not even unisex. She is a dark, super sensual lady. So fitting wearing an all black sexy outfit, fake eyelashes and big hoop earrings. Thanks so much to my swap partner bcars10 for allowing me to experience and own this gorgeous dream in a bottle. Like the saying goes: Someone's owl is another ones nightingale, and I found a nightingale in Liquid Gold, indeed!

Not amazing

I can definitely tell this is a Euphoria flanker. I have enjoyed the original since its inception, so I was intrigued by the listed notes to try this one. It is quite manly, but with an underlying sweet-fruitiness. The opening cinnamon note--which is what drew me to this, honestly--is very fleeting, sadly. Right now, I have a sneeze in my nose that won't come out! I'm thinking it's the orchid that's being so loud and screechy because, generally, I like sandalwood. Maybe the combination of orchid/sandalwood is what is making me sneezy?! Anyway, I do sorta like it, and I am hopeful that the drydown will introduce more of sandalwood's creaminess that I enjoy. I also wish more cinnamon would come into play again. My husband does not like this one or the original Euphoria because he says it makes me smell too masculine, and I would agree. The initial couple hours of the original are more masculine, but it smooths out eventually, and I am hopeful for the same on this one.

I bought the bottle off ebay, and it is the gigantic one! It's going to last into next century because, honestly, I can't see how often I will choose this one. I still can't get the sneeze out.

Sillage is impressive--fills my house! Longevity also seems to be there. If it changes, I will edit this review.
EDIT: This has lasted over 12 hours, and still going strong. The screechiness has mostly left, but I can still detect it a bit. I think it gave me the headache I had today, so I might try it again to see what happens next, but I'm certain this will not make it to my top shelf. Too obnoxious. I like my perfumes to "flow," not "scream."
EDIT (July 2107): This was the first one to make it to my swap list. It's just too masculine and screechy for me. I really can't stand it, frankly. But I will pat myself on the back for trying to love it!

Today my package with the desired Euphoria Liquid Gold arrived and of course I had to test it immediately. After all, the fragrance pyramid, if you like to call it that at all, promised to be a fragrance experience with the manageable number of ingredients: Cinnamon - mmmh, wonderfully spicy, warm and cozy, sandalwood - also here the 3 W's might apply, and the black orchid - bloom-heavy. Excellent!
Well on, it was sprayed.
First of all not too much, so that - oh, please excuse *rausper* , but so now - sniff your nose carefully - man sweeps, excuse once more *hust* - can. First of all - uh, little moment *rochel* - I take the sandalwood - ey sorry, that's not possible *keuch* - true, but less warm and - for God's sake *crack*, I'm really sorry *hüstel* - cosy, but spicy to scratchy.

So, you fragrant noses, I had to take a break, this eternal coughing is annoying. You can't even make a reasonable assessment!
And indeed the scent scratches through nose and throat, and scratches and scratches and ...
Aha, 2 hours later she still enters, the warm comfort and above all the cinnamon and the black orchid. Now it smells really good, as the three fragrances combine in more perfect tuning. If only it weren't for this terribly scratchy beginning...
So either set the alarm two hours earlier so that you get the perfect scent composition when leaving the house, or have the perfect alibi for an illness due to incipient bronchitis ;)
