Unique creation

Out of interest in the A&M range, I ordered a couple of Guerlain samples and tested them blind - I had already heard of Angelique Noire, which seems to me to be one of the most popular of the range. I personally find it quite unique, I haven't smelled a comparable fragrance before.
Fragrance:

it starts off bitter-herbaceous, the vanilla is also immediately present, but only takes up more space in the drydown, then it becomes softer and softer. The tart angelica with the sweet vanilla is such an unusual combination that it can be irritating when you first smell it. Once you get used to it, it can become addictive. Every time I tested it, I had to smell my wrist over and over again, it has something comforting for me.

H/S : like all the fragrances in the collection so far, slightly above average, sprayed on in the evening I can still smell the last breaths of vanilla in the morning. When I enter the room, the environment reacts - so it is clearly perceived.

Unisex wearable, but a touch more feminine

Flacon:
I like them a lot, but they look even better in company. I got weak knees in the Guerlain store in Paris when I saw them all standing next to each other. High-quality and timeless, I even like it better than the previous bottle

Occasion:
Very difficult to say because it is ambivalent - not gourmand despite the delicious vanilla, not totally pleasing but still so round that it doesn't offend. So special and unique and yet with signature potential. It is fresh and yet soft, I couldn't even favor a season. Probably very individual, whether you wear it every day or only on very special occasions. I find both suitable.
***************************

When I was about to invest in a bottle, I got a damper: I wanted to test it on myself in the wild and wore it for a date with a friend who greeted me with "you're really the only one who still wears that Impulse Vanilla deodorant from back then" (I'm sure most of you can still remember exactly)
I was kind of taken aback, because I had actually expected compliments and was looking forward to proudly talking about my great new discovery. Unfortunately I'm too impressionable, now I couldn't spend €350 to smell like €1.29.

I still have a few sprays left in my sample and get a hankering at irregular intervals and spray it on my wrist again just for me at home. Who knows if one day it will move into a big home after all.
