Lucky blind buy

I have a masochistic preference for discontinued fragrances - it's painful and expensive, but I'm sure there are enough fellow sufferers here that at least I don't have to be ashamed of it. In any case, I would find it difficult to explain to those around me why I pay hundreds of euros for completely overpriced (because limited edition) perfumes - and now the worst part: often without ever having smelled them before. Sometimes I tell myself that it's a kind of investment - because there are always buyers, perhaps some who are prepared to pay more than me. But of course the calculation doesn't work out.

I love watching perfume reviews on YouTube, I could spend hours reading reviews on Parfumo and if enough buttons are pressed at the same time in the form of enticing adjectives, elegant bottles and great-sounding fragrance pyramids, I'm hooked.

"Incredibly great vanilla" "feel-good fragrance" "I wear it every night before going to sleep" "elegant, feminine and classy"

...yes, that sounds great

The YSL brand - I associate it with gold. The name Cinema - original and appealing. Combined with the matching bottle and the (gold)yellow Juice

....ja, could be a candidate for testing

WHAT? THAT'S ON THE HOLD??

I NEED IT! I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THIS FRAGRANCE (which I don't even know yet)!

From then on, I scoured all the online retailers every day (I wasn't really familiar with the Parfumo Souk yet, and I also had a certain inhibition threshold about entering this place of connoisseurs and fragrance nerds, but that's another story). I don't quite trust Ebay, I know the numerous Chanel plagiarisms that are sold there and so I spent many weeks desperately searching for the fragrance of my life (I was already sure of that).

I almost gave up when it was suddenly available online in the normal range of perfumeries. Not cheap, but not completely overpriced either. (I'm sure some people are still annoyed that the share price of the bunker bottle has suddenly fallen so much, as they would have loved to sell it on for a nice extortionate price ;))

Clearly, I ordered it straight away and although the chances were realistically slim, because I have a huge discrepancy between falling and wearing it, it's actually a direct hit. Yeaaah!

Scent:
(Disclaimer, I deliberately did not take a look at the pyramid beforehand and am only describing my impression - may therefore differ from the actual components)

Starts off citrusy-fresh, quickly joined by a few white flowers to the left and right. For me, it also has a tiny little boozy note in the background, as if a rum molecule is hiding in the corner. A few more minutes, then the vanilla enters the movie theater and everyone sits down. It retains a certain sparkling freshness until the end, but becomes much softer and rounder - my expert tip: probably musk. A particularly warm-hearted, embracing fresh-scented musk.

This fragrance really is so wonderful and combines so many qualities: it is refreshing, clean, elegant, classy, soft, vanilla, unique...I could think of even more, but I don't want to tempt anyone into making a blind purchase;)

Flacon:
Golden lid, angular design, original idea to cover the back with typewriter letters like a movie screen, harmonious and beautiful to look at. Also has a certain retro/vintage charm

Occasion:

It is so multifaceted that it can be used universally - appealing in the office, attractive on a date, glamorous in the evening, to feel good at home. And of course: also for the cinema, but more of a sophisticated arthouse cinema, with a red carpet and heavy, golden curtains.

The marketing is certainly aimed at women, and from this point of view it is also very feminine. However, its cozy cleanliness would not irritate me on a man either.

Longevity weak (3 hours approx. and then it has really disappeared completely)
Sillage strong - does not go unnoticed in the vicinity of 3 meters

I'm surprised that I've never come across such a great fragrance before. I have the impression that it is relatively unknown - and if it is really discontinued, it will probably always remain so.

How good that I have him.
