Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Bergamot Calabria
The prelude could be summarized as "Bergamot & Spice +".
The first explosion is clearly concentrated around the bergamot citrus kernel, which is further loosened with some fine grain. Almost immediately a spicy note is introduced, the cardamom, but the spice is not overwhelming and blends well into the lemon kernel. Whiplashes with a rather green ginger impression come and go.
Later, a restrained sweetness is added to a Tonka, and the rest of the base consists of some unspecific white musk mixtures.
I get a moderate sillage, good projection and six hours longevity on my skin.
A pleasant scent for cooler summer days, the well executed first half is pulled down by the generic drydown, but overall this is a good Guerlain. The combination of citrus fruits and spices is of course not new.
