I never tried Les Élixirs Charnels - Gourmand Coquin before buying this new version but I decided to buy it anyway and have my friend send me a small decant of the original so I could make a comparison between the two. I have to say, the difference, if there is one, is entirely too subtle for me to pick up. Maybe I'm not the most careful, but I've now worn each of them 3 times, and it just feels like I wore the same perfume 6 times.
Both of them smell like baking a chocolate cake and drinking black tea. It's steamy and boozy and scrumptious, and difficult to describe. Don't hesitate to try it for yourself.
It is gorgeous as heck, I have zero regrets, despite the enormous price tag. Totally worth it, to me.
