My first vanilla

Until now, I had a rather skeptical opinion of vanilla fragrances. Too old-fashioned, too heavy, too headache-inducing. Nevertheless, the thought of having to own a perfume with vanilla as the main protagonist has not let me go. So I went to Paris and smelled what felt like 100 fragrances in 3 days. I quickly ended up with Guerlain. Cuir Beluga, Double Vanille, Angelique Noir. They were all great, so I bought the miniature set to test these 3 in more detail at home. But the nice lady from the Guerlain store had another trump card up her sleeve: a sample of Vanilla Planifolia Extrait.

Sprayed it on for the first time yesterday and immediately fell in love. The scent was already great. Delicious, slightly green vanilla with a very light freshness in the background. Wonderful. Longevity: Out of this world. I put it on at 6 a.m. in the morning and was still smelling it at 10 p.m. in the evening. Opened the door to the office this morning. The fragrance worked overtime and was still in the air. After 24 hours. Sillage is also more than good in my experience, especially as this is an extrait. The only negative is certainly the price. The 50ml should last for years, because the 4 sprays from the sample alone were more than enough. An absolute test recommendation for vanilla fans. Blind buy? Rather less.
