Walk
For me, it's a fragrance that I wear when I want to go for a walk on a sunny spring or summer day. It combines so beautifully with the scents of nature and if you walk across a meadow and pay close attention, you realize how similar it is to the smell of grass sprinkled with lemon. A scent that makes me feel as happy as freshly mown grass without smelling exactly like it.

In my opinion, this is an underrated LV that unfortunately gets lost in the shadow of Imagination or Afternoon Swim. But if you want to try something different, I can only recommend a test.

Flashback
2019....Hatta Heritage Village. It's mid-morning, but at 30 degrees it's already extremely warm again. The wind blows and stirs up the sandy ground. Here and there are trees providing shade. It is pleasantly cool and dark in the houses of the open-air museum. I sit down under a tree, close my eyes and quietly soak up the atmosphere. That feels good.

And that's exactly where this fragrance comes in. After reading and seeing reviews here and there about this creation, I wasn't quite sure how to imagine this fragrance. Desert air, dry air. What does it smell like? Then I finally ordered a bottle and was a little surprised at first. Is that what a desert is supposed to smell like? Nah nah, I thought. That's not what I associate with a desert. People like to interpret the one or other fragrance note or imagine that the fragrance smells like this or that when they read the notes. So I put the fragrance aside and decided to smell it again later. Later was not so late, only about 5 minutes later. Suddenly it clicked and I was back in the setting described above. In the end, I have to say that the name and the fragrance go extremely well together. Unique.

My first vanilla
Until now, I had a rather skeptical opinion of vanilla fragrances. Too old-fashioned, too heavy, too headache-inducing. Nevertheless, the thought of having to own a perfume with vanilla as the main protagonist has not let me go. So I went to Paris and smelled what felt like 100 fragrances in 3 days. I quickly ended up with Guerlain. Cuir Beluga, Double Vanille, Angelique Noir. They were all great, so I bought the miniature set to test these 3 in more detail at home. But the nice lady from the Guerlain store had another trump card up her sleeve: a sample of Vanilla Planifolia Extrait.

Sprayed it on for the first time yesterday and immediately fell in love. The scent was already great. Delicious, slightly green vanilla with a very light freshness in the background. Wonderful. Longevity: Out of this world. I put it on at 6 a.m. in the morning and was still smelling it at 10 p.m. in the evening. Opened the door to the office this morning. The fragrance worked overtime and was still in the air. After 24 hours. Sillage is also more than good in my experience, especially as this is an extrait. The only negative is certainly the price. The 50ml should last for years, because the 4 sprays from the sample alone were more than enough. An absolute test recommendation for vanilla fans. Blind buy? Rather less.
