The seductive power of the earth: pure masculinity in a bottle I Including comparison to EDP and Montale Red Vetiver

Terre d'Hermès Eau de Toilette is not only a timeless, masculine classic, but THE fragrance that best exudes masculine elegance in my opinion. As far as I know, Jean-Claude Ellena was inspired by an inspiring journey through untouched landscapes - and yes, the idea is perfectly captured in the fragrance!
But now to Terre d'Hermès Eau de Toilette :
- At the beginning you get a real blast with a breathtaking bouquet of sparkling citrus fruits; a beautiful orange combined with the bitterness of grapefruit and aromatic pepper make an unmistakable start!

- The characteristic vetiver note unfolds very quickly, giving the fragrance the characteristic note typical of TdH;

- in the drydown, a sensual melange of woody and earthy accords consisting of cedarwood and patchouli is added, giving the fragrance a warm and earthy depth. Consequently, the fragrance starts very citrusy, gains green aspects via vetiver and then leads into a beautiful earthy-woody base.

- The projection of Terre d'Hermès Eau de Toilette is really great, especially in the first 3-4 hours! You are clearly noticed. The durability is also definitely impressive and is in the top third!
To summarize, Terre d'Hermès Eau de Toilette is an ideal everyday companion for every man, capturing the masculine energy in the bottle and with a truly remarkable H/S - and all this at a more than fair price! Some see the fragrance as an "old man's scent", but for me the interpretation is timeless and modern, which I can't say for other fragrances such as Green Irish Tweed.

How does the TdH EDT compare to the EDP? - In my opinion, Terre d'Hermès Eau de Toilette is far more edgy and exciting; the opening is more sparkling and the drydown is earthier!
- The Terre d'Hermès Parfum, on the other hand, is more rounded, almost boring for me. It is much woodier and above all more vetiver-heavy. I find the sillage much more moderate, although the longevity is better than that of the EDT.

The comparison to Red Vetiver :

- I find the Red Vetiver even more striking and with a greater focus on a rather smoky, spicier vetiver; not as versatile as the Terre d'Hermès Eau de Toilette.

Hope the review helps you a bit with your choice and feel free to ask if anything is unclear!
