Helpful Review
H24 does not refer to the longevity
H24 opens with notes of freshly cut grass. Green, lots of green. So much so, that it almost triggered my hay fever. It quickly turns into a metallic sheen with hints of freshly dug dirt (sclarene). Let's call these the mineral notes. The floral and herbal notes also begin to show up at this point (clary sage, narcissus, rosewood).
At a later stage for me this goes more into freshly washed linen territory. The scent becomes slightly less green and more rounded and soapy. It left me feeling very nostalgic. Most likely because the notes remind me of activities and locations of my youth. I find it a very pleasant scent, but I can understand if it turns people off. It's really niche. Unfortunately I have not tried other scents of Hermès so I can not compare.
In other reviews it might seem like this is long-lasting and stands up to the summer heat. That has not been my personal experience. After 8 hours you can still smell it on yourself in a really diminished form, but for other people it has practically disappeared. My friend could not smell it on me up-close 6 hours after applying it. It is an EDT after all. Then again, he was wearing Sauvage, so his sense of smell may have already been bludgeoned.
It also does not have a large projection. Perhaps my skin is too dry for this, or perhaps it could perform better outside of the summer heat. Which would be entirely contradictory, because I don't see myself wearing this into winter. The scent is simply much too green and fresh for that. Mileage may vary?
