Ambre 114 Histoires de Parfums 2008

Very helpful Review
114 Minutes
There was a knock at the door.
Like a daily ritual
the grandfather stood there.
Silently he came in
and settled into the armchair
right next to the door.
A sweet warmth radiated from him
even though he did not smile.
His baggy corduroy pants
brought in the nutmeg-colored face
of autumn.
As every day, he asked for a drink
and lit his cigar.
The light warm enveloping scent
of vanilla rose up.
His eyes gazed into
a time that seemed far away.
He did not speak much.
Life had made him quiet.
Only the drawn lines
on his clothing
hinted at the stories
that life wrote for him.
Gentle clouds of thyme rose up
and painted their spicy pictures
in the autumn sky.
Golden moments flickered
amber-dotted on the horizon,
each in its own tone,
warming hearts from the past.
Thought-leaves fell
on patches of patchouli earth.
In small sandalwood boxes, rosy hands
enclosed collected memories
folded into little blossoms.
The rays of the autumn sun
streamed in through the window
and held the finely woven net
of his countless stories
like a precious treasure secured.
Almost two hours had passed,
when he stood up and left again.
However, his presence
could still be felt for a long time
and warmed the day.

He has been gone for a long time.
This scent reminded me of him
and is linked to that time for me.
Ambre 114 is by no means an old man's scent, if my review has given you that impression.
Rather, it is a beautiful
warm enveloping autumn scent with
many facets that may always
leave you in awe.
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful
amber fragrances with a varied
development and good longevity.
For me personally, it is not so important,
to recognize scents down to the smallest detail.
I admire all those here,
who possess this gift.
It simply makes me happy
to discover what they evoke in me or what feelings or memories are hidden within them.
I hope I could bring you a little closer to this
scent with my words.
Thank you for reading!

And your lovely story warms my heart!!
But the question is, why only 1P in the sillage category?
Keep those fragrance experiences close!
Not my scent, yet it feels so close to me.
Sisters in spirit :)
I found the scent a bit too feminine.
It had a vibe of chamber music in D minor...
