Interesting Facts

Jacques Fath, born in France in 1912, was a renowned French fashion designer who founded his first couture house in Paris in 1937. It is noteworthy that today's fashion greats, such as Hubert de Givenchy, Guy Laroche, and Valentino Garavani, all worked as assistants in Jacques Fath's studio.

Jacques Fath's foray into the world of fragrances began in 1945 with the launch of Chasuble. Two years later, in collaboration with perfumer Vincent Roubert, Jacques Fath created fragrances such as Iris Gris and Green Water.

In 2008, Panouge SAS – which also owns French perfume brands such as Isabey and Panouge, as well as the Japanese brand Masakï Matsushïma – acquired the Jacques Fath Paris brand.

Today, the legacy of Jacques Fath Parfums lives on through the Fath's Essentials collection, launched in 2016, which was created in collaboration with Rania Naim, Art Director of Jacques Fath Parfums at Panouge, Cécile Zarokian, and Luca Maffei, and has been continuously expanded.

In 2023, a reinterpretation of the 1947 fragrance Iris Gris was released under the name L'Iris de Fath (Eau de Parfum), preceded in 2018 by the Extrait de Parfum L'Iris de Fath. Both fragrances were created under the direction of perfumer Patrice Revillard.
