Mimosa & Cardamom Jo Malone 2015 Cologne

Right now it's 0:18 in August, we're sitting on the balcony watching stars and shooting stars and while I sniff my latest conquest.

Just under 2 weeks ago we were in Barcelona spontaneously and briefly, visiting family - quite crowded - quite exhausting - but also emotional and all round wonderful.
Shortly before the flight home, in the duty free, I went through the aisles and scents as usual routine, stopped briefly and without expectations at JM and had it in the nose - Mimosa & Cardamon. Oh wow.

I bought, spontaneously and immediately. My husband was grad somewhere else, he was not asked this time for his opinion - I was uncompromisingly enchanted.

Even after almost 2 weeks lasts I still love the fragrance: this spontaneous freshness when spraying on and the gentle spiciness, the subsequent powderiness, the beautiful mood that this fragrance gives me - perhaps a little like the special holiday, a mixture of relaxation and exciting curiosity.

And yesaaaaaa - I actually wear firecrackers like Tom Fords Noir or Tobacco Vanille, gladly also sometimes Guerlain...

But this Cardamon dream, which later develops such a wonderfully warm blend of tonka bean and sandalwood - becomes powdery.... I am in love and completely enchanted by this cardamon - tonka - dream ?

My Wehmutztropfen is only that I have to renew it 3 times a day, because the shelf life is truly modest. At this price in the long run a costly pleasure ? but still I am willing to bear this consequence.
Even in winter, under completely different circumstances, I can imagine him as a wonderful companion for cozy evenings by the fireplace with a nice book.

My husband finds him (compared to my other fragrances) as quite tart and rather spicy, but he is just also what completely different from me used to ?
