Cardamom, my Love.
It is currently 0:18 AM in August, we are sitting on the balcony watching stars and shooting stars while I sniff my latest conquest.
About 2 weeks ago, we were spontaneous and briefly in Barcelona, visiting family - quite crowded - quite exhausting - but also emotional and overall beautiful.
Just before the flight home, in Duty Free, I walked through the aisles and fragrances as usual, stopped briefly and without expectations at JM and had it in my nose - Mimosa & Cardamom. Oh wow.
I bought it, spontaneous and immediately. My husband was somewhere else at that moment, he wasn't asked for his opinion this time - I was uncompromisingly enchanted.
Even after nearly 2 weeks of continuous wear, I still love the scent: this spontaneous freshness when spraying and the gentle spiciness, the subsequent powderiness, the beautiful mood this fragrance gives me - perhaps a bit like a special vacation, a mix of relaxation and exciting curiosity.
And yessssss - I usually wear heavy hitters like Tom Ford's Noir or Tobacco Vanille, sometimes Guerlain as well…
But this Cardamom dream, which later develops into such a wonderfully warm blend of tonka bean and sandalwood - becoming powdery…. I am in love and completely enchanted by this Cardamom - Tonka - dream?
My only bittersweet note is that I have to reapply it 3 times a day, because the longevity is truly modest. At this price, it becomes an expensive pleasure over time? But for now, I am still willing to bear this consequence.
Even in winter, under completely different circumstances, I can imagine it as a wonderful companion for cozy evenings by the fireplace with a nice book.
My husband finds it (compared to my other fragrances) quite herbaceous and rather spicy, but he is used to something completely different from me?
