A unique yet wearable warm spicy scent
This was my first “big girl” perfume years ago and it has withstood the test of time - it continues to be a unique yet wearable warm spicy scent. Mimosa and Cardamom blooms beautifully in hot and humid Southeast Asian weather, with a strong and punchy opening of spices and yellow florals drying down to a creamy, soapy skin scent that retains both of the notes in the name of the perfume.

Sillage and longevity are above average for a Jo Malone, lasting about 3 - 5 hours till it becomes a comforting skin scent. Nonetheless I’d still recommend this one for its distinct and unusual scent profile while remaining a comforting and easy reach. The low projection and high wearability actually make it perfect for an office or professional setting.

Best of mimosa
Mimosa can sometimes feel sharp and scratchy to me, but here this aspect of the flower is reduced to a minimum. Instead it smells creamy, clean and soft, somewhere between Nivea and baby cream. Lovely texture! A touch of heliotrope sweetens the scent in the dryish. The cardamom is a great accent and more noticeable than I expected. Even though this is such a soft, inoffensive ans likeable scent, I find it rather unique due to the warm spiciness. It stands out from other mild and clean florals.

I could imagine that this would work well for layering with a sweeter fragrance. I accidentally sprayed some of it close to my Bath & Body Works Raspberry Jam Donut lotion, which sounds like an awful combo, but smelled surprisingly nice.

All in all I really like this a lot. Not enough to buy right now, but I think that I would grow to love it if it suddenly magically appeared in my perfume wardrobe. It might be the best mimosa fragrance I have ever smelled.

Beautiful Classsy & Clean
Oh gosh this is so pretty!

Such a refined and elegant scent, so clean and sexy.

Takes me to a beautiful sunny day in Mallorca around May-June. Top quality and one of the few Jo’s long lasting perfumes.

Leans sliiightly feminine but hey, who cares? :-)
Not that much though, the cardamom balancea it well.

Mimosa is nice
The mimosa here is really nice and I absolutely love how it smells the first 30 minutes or so. On my skin it does go away quickly though, leaving a peppery smell, which is nice but not as great as the mimosa. I’d love to smell mimosa throughout the entire journey with this fragrance.
Sillage is close. Longevity overall low, but I don’t expect more from this brand and it’s not concerning to me.
This fragrance is great to wear in the spring, as it evokes the blooming of flowers everywhere—on trees, in fields, gardens, etc.
I layer it with Lily of the Valley & Ivy by the same brand.

Gentle Autumn Dream
Before I bought the fragrance, I had already heard a lot about it. It is one of the more popular Jo Malones, and based on the many positive opinions, I wanted to test it. The first time I tested it, I sprayed it on a sample card and took it home. When spraying, I categorized the scent as spicy-floral, but the cardamom clearly dominates. Upon arriving home, I did not find the scent bad at all; on the contrary. I liked the now delicate, unobtrusive-soft note. However, it didn't blow me away. During the second test, the extremely pleasant and attentive sales consultant sprayed the fragrance on a card and on my arm. She recommended that I sniff it after half an hour on my arm. I did that, and VOILA, I HAD FOUND MY NEW FAVORITE FRAGRANCE. The longer I waited, the more the initially spicy note faded, and the mimosa blended with sandalwood and tonka into a wonderfully soft cream. This delicacy gives the fragrance something feminine, although I definitely categorize it as unisex overall. Cardamom combined with light, soft notes creates an ideal balance between masculine and feminine.
Warm-soft fragrances like this one are great to wear on cold days. I thought no fragrance fits autumn as perfectly as this one (normally I don't like categorizing fragrances by seasons, but this one is just ideal for rainy days), which is why it has enriched my perfume collection since this week :)
In addition to the spicy and floral, I would also describe it as fresh. Not citrusy or sharply fresh, but rather a rounded freshness. With a cologne, freshness is of course not surprising.
Regarding intensity, I can only say that the fragrance is definitely strong. If someone sprays just a few spritzes, it will noticeably smell strong. The longevity for me is so-so..
A few words about the bottle: it is incredibly simple yet very elegant and, above all, handy (I have the large size with 100ml).
I think the small bottle would also be ideal, especially for the handbag.
Conclusion: Those looking for soft fragrances with recognition value will get their money's worth here. Spicy start and soft creamy development, embedded in well-groomed freshness. Perfect for everyday use (a few sprays are enough).

A mild spicy breeze, with almost tea-like associations. Creamy and slightly sweet, the cardamom briefly lingers in the air.

Perfect blend of floral and spicy. Love the scent; performance is dismal.

There is a spicy, warm sweetness that is delicious. I can see layering it with a citrus to freshen it up but by itself in the cooler months.

a cheerful fluffy mimosa, a soliflore as far as I'm concerned, with surprising (at least for JM) longevity.

Freshly showered and moisturized
in a silky, delicate floral lotion
I gracefully stroll
on softly spiced mimosa paths.
Head held high.
