Eye candy
This is ‘an old woman’s perfume’… if you ask my partner. He does not like aldehydes. And yes, I understand the comparison with Montana’s Parfum de Peau. L’Arte di Gucci EdT and Parfum de Peau have so much in common, when it comes to being late eighties/early nineties fragrances with all the power and ado there is to it. They share jasmine, rose and amber but they also share the leathery/spicy/floral accords. Rich and soapy, long lasting and loud - that is my kind of fragrance (when I am alone).
My nose is simply not skilled enough to make out the many nuances in this wonder, but I can appreciate it, and I can admire the gorgeous bottle. Actually, here is the Arte in L’Arte: the bottle.
I have the one with black top decorated with delicate golden details. I adore the asymmetrical bottle with the most deliciously looking golden juice. I assume that extremely interesting pictures can be and have been taken of this masterpiece. Just look at the photos taken by Parfumo members - this bootle is eye candy, just waiting to be gazed upon. I look forward to the day when I get my hands on the EdP. Then I shall start taking pictures of the two together. They are a handsome couple. And I am looking forward to see how much stronger the EdP can be, because the EdT is, well, really strong.
