A Silver Lining on the Horizon...
.... when the sun in the morning still lies hidden in the night, its first signs appearing in the east. Fine mists stand fragile over the fields, the forest edge dark and unfathomable, only recognizable as a silhouette. Then scents swirl over everything, moist, green, resinous, and earthy. Cool, deep, and unfathomable. Those who can enjoy the fortune of pre-sunrise are also greeted with various olfactory delights. It begins with herbaceous, fresh herbs, their scent filling the cool air, moist with dew that almost turns to frost... at the coolest hour of the autumn day.
The further one goes towards the forest, the more the resinous and earthy aromas come to the fore. Herbaceous and soothing. Sometimes rough like the bark of certain trees, but also fine and subtle as they cautiously emerge from the underbrush. Also green like the needles of conifers. A resinous-woody green, spruces, firs, pines, and cedars exude it!
Now the sun is already peeking halfway over the hill. And with each passing minute, it becomes fuller. It is still somewhat milky from the haze, but it will be a dry, sunny day. Now the scents also change a bit. Now the partly still colorful, partly already bare deciduous tree scents come into play. From the leaves lying on the forest floor, earthy, herbaceous aromas waft. And the birches let their bark scent delicately. The smell is like fine leather... subtle and slightly inky-spicy. Even the silver misty veils seem to have a scent. Bright, cool, and lightly musky. Moist-powdery... and wonderful. All together creates an autumn morning fragrance intoxication that is delightful :-))
