Smoking Hot Kilian 2023

Okay, so at this point a small admission: Kilian was until then by and large foreign to me. A free addition of the "Rolling in Love" was the first contact to the fragrance house - and it followed first perplexity.

Rolling in Love I actually liked, so that I dared some time later, in the perfumery to dare a look at the Kilian shelf.
There I learned that Kilian arranges its fragrance creations in fragrance families and assigns the respective members of a category a corresponding color or in the case of the Liquors just also filled in special flacons.

As the name already suggests, Smoking Hot belongs to the "The Smokes".

Kilian wrote himself to the fragrance:

"There is not one way of being hot. Maybe you are good, maybe you are bad. Maybe you are better when you are bad... Maybe you like to be you, or a different version of yourself. At night, there are no rules but one, just be Smoking Hot!" - Kilian Hennessy

Creator of the creation is Mathieu Nardin. In addition to this, he is, for example, the nose behind the famous ManRose and "XJ 1861 Zefiro | XerJoff".

Further it says on the website:

"Evoking everything from European clubs to Eastern hookah lounges, Smoking Hot redefines what a smokey scent is today, going almost where it's too hot to handle."

Obviously, with Smoking Hot you want to create a modern, smoky DNA without the classic incense....
And. this part of the mission has definitely succeeded!

My impression of the fragrance:

Especially after spraying on, there is an entertaining, exciting development to sniff. Please do not stone me for the following classification of the events in visualized form:

A wild, cinnamon-y apple briefly tries the baked apple, but burns within a very short time in a tobacco embers. There it lies now, the burned apple on half charred tobacco leaves, the embers in the meantime smothered. To drown out the consequences of this mishap, Mathieu now throws in vanilla essence and amber notes. The emerging sweetish warmth actually saves the mishap. Out comes the overall picture, which Kilian probably also called Shisha.

I had at my first test at the beginning quite strong licorice associations. In the course resulted subjectively again and again the smell of these Haribo "Jelly Berries". Only after I had really dealt with the individual notes and the course, this image read after.

Artistically, Smoking Hot is a really well implemented fragrance. I also like to sniff my wrist, but it is followed by the realization: I do not want to smell like that.

Speaking of which, who actually wants to smell like shisha?

Good question, but I would cliché the fragrance actually most likely to see or want to smell younger gentlemen.

I like that the fragrance does not come with a brute sillage. That could become namely extraordinarily exhausting.

As a classic lark, non-smoker and party pooper, I will probably not be tempted to test Smoking Hot in its species-appropriate environment. But who does, I wish you already a lot of fun with this extraordinary creation.
