Alm Öhis Nightmare
I didn't expect much... and even that was surpassed

It's a sample from iParfumerie... no one else would send such a discarded (rare & terrible) scent

Characterless mountain water

Tip: keep your distance

Without spirit, but with a note of sweat

Smells like mountain air from a chemistry lab

No reason to test further Victorinox fragrances

Not only freshness, but also piercing sage

Without it, the world of perfume is not poorer

Xing status: bitter single & dismissed nonsense

-

At least it looks good in the bottle

Grandpa: "Phew, that really stings unpleasantly in the nose!"

Uninspired, taken over by the mediocre at LR

Not worth such a comment

Great: the sample is packaged like a mini bottle

I've rarely experienced mint so intrusive & unpleasant

At least it lasts 5-7 hours

Not commendable in this case

-

Water & coolness with a lot of imagination behind the chemistry imaginable

All alternatives are the better choice

Top 25 of the worst fragrances

A sin to mention it in the same breath as Silver Mountain Water

Travel without perfume rather than with it

Where the Pepper Grows?...
Victorinox makes fragrances too? I didn’t know that at all. At first, I didn’t think much of it before I sprayed the sample. After all, Victorinox is not an unknown brand; at least in the pocket knife segment, they are among the best or most well-known manufacturers. So you have certain expectations, not too high, I admit, but also not really bad.
However, with their fragrance creations, Victorinox showed with Mountain Water that they do not master the art of perfume-making as well as they do the production of blades with stainless steel.

Upon spraying, a massive and spicy pepper note hits you first. From the mountain air indicated in the fragrance pyramid, whatever that is supposed to be, and alpine flowers, you don’t perceive a hint. Whatever, you think, it’s only the top note after all, and there are some perfumes that smell quite terrible at the beginning. But here, after just a few minutes, the pepper becomes so extremely strong that even a slight tingling in the nose begins, and you almost have to fight not to sneeze.
Interestingly, the mint seems to compete with the pepper for dominance a little later, as you sometimes feel like you smell the pepper more strongly and sometimes the mint. I have noticed this personally every time I have sprayed this fragrance now for the fourth time.

In any case, the scent remains strongly spicy for quite a while until it becomes a bit milder after about half an hour due to the sweet patchouli. Even though from this point on you perceive a slight, sweet note, the pepper remains dominant almost at all times and, in my opinion, spoils the fresh scent intended for spring and summer.

Also, the longevity is not very long, and the fragrance gradually fades after about six hours, which is not something to be particularly sad about.

Lukewarm Mountain Breeze
If you take a look at the pyramid of Mountain Water, the fragrance note "mountain air" immediately catches your eye. A nice marketing gimmick, considering it's hard to imagine a few perfumers running around the peaks like butterfly collectors with a net to capture said mountain air and then mix it with the other ingredients.

And even if they did, one would have to wonder if they didn't make it high enough or if their breeze has become a bit stale. No, it's neither hot nor cold air. It's simply lukewarm.

After all, the opening of Mountain Water is nothing more than the hundred and ninety-first infusion of a flat aquatic-citrus snooze water, with which you couldn't lure Heidi or her friend Peter the Goat from the alpine meadow.

Unfortunately, I also don't know what alpine lichen is supposed to be or what it smells like, but there was surely a strange chemical abbreviation and a warning label on the test tube.

I can't detect any of the other supposed contents either - neither black pepper nor mint or patchouli, which are usually relatively easy to pinpoint.

What remains is a hint of aquatic, which reminds less of a clear mountain stream and more of the drain of a chemistry lab.

And what particularly annoys me is this accompanying musty, sweaty undertone, as one is partly familiar with from many LR scents. As if the mountain elder had bathed in it after a 25 km trek across the Matterhorn.

According to the advertising promise, this is even supposed to be a sporty fougère fragrance that provides a breath of glacier air for a clear head and a zest for action in extreme situations at work or during outdoor activities.

And I always thought: in the alpine meadow, there are no sins.

Apparently, there are!

From the Blue Mountains!
Well, now that I have realized that, among other things, a pocket knife manufacturer, actually one OF the pocket knife manufacturers, and also a manufacturer of storm lighters have their own fragrance line, I can also venture a little into this topic. Similar to the motorized scents (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Benz, Bentley, Jaguar, etc.), my expectations for this are rather low. But I have also given other potential flop candidates a chance and have often been surprised.

However, that will certainly never happen with the bright blue Mountain Water from Victorinox. I was lucky enough to receive a sample of it, and of course I wanted to try it immediately. To get a better picture, I waited about 3 weeks in between and sprayed the scent again.

I always got the same impression. An extremely artificial scent that, while boasting freshness, at its core is merely bursting with synthetic notes. I am an avid mountain hiker, and therefore I know how it smells in the mountains and how fresh, clear mountain water feels and tastes. And there is not the slightest bit of that here. It is far too sweet, far too overwhelming, far too burdensome. A scent that wants to bring me the water from the mountains must also convince me in that way. Cold, clear, structured, simple, and convincing.

But none of that applies, and so it seems that Mountain Water aims at the clientele that drives to the mountains by the thousands every year with summer tires, only to climb glaciers in stilettos and flip-flops. If you see exactly that as the target audience, I can live with it. On the one hand, I don’t like artificial, surreal scents that are far removed from any connection, and on the other hand, I don’t like hikers who think the mountains are just waiting for them.

I’d rather take my hiking pole, wear a spicy, primal scent, and watch from high above as the artificially perfumed superheroes embarrass themselves down below.

Mountain Delight to Spray?
I wouldn't be surprised if the tourism office of an alpine village commissioned a fragrance with the telling scent notes "Mountain Delight," um, "Mountain Air."
It starts with a dose of minty-peppery "Mountain Air." Then a slightly herbal bitter note joins in. An imitation of a classic hike through misty valleys, just above the tree line. Beautiful.
After 15 minutes, a chord of sage and less rosemary emerges, and the sweaty note, much described, comes to the fore, excellently executed:

I smell (and my imagination is running wild), sweaty, slightly dried synthetic sportswear, musty damp backpacks, and soaked warm dripping bicycle helmets. Top-notch alpine sports feeling.

To be completely honest, all mountain delight has now been driven away, and I’m off to wash the things from my sports bag, olfactorily just as uplifting.
