Powdery vanilla and tropical bananas
Vanille Divine des Tropiques, meaning divine vanilla from the tropics, is what this fragrance is all about.

Think of a tropical destination, complete with sparkling blue oceans and big, lush palm trees, and you have this scent in mind.

Vanille Divine des Tropiques opens with sweet, powdery vanilla and freshly picked bananas. I could liken this fragrance to banana splits with sweetened cream and a sprinkle of malt, however this fragrance doesn't strike me as being gourmand.

The scent is enticing yet difficult to wear. For those that love and wear Sicily by Dolce & Gabbana, this is a softer, less sharp and more vanillary version.

Summer or Winter, wear it in whatever season suits you. Vanille Divine des Tropiques makes me happy in the way that it brings me back to the days when I was a child feasting on sweets and all things light and sugary.

There are subtle hints of pretty white florals throughout the composition, however the strong banana and vanilla notes stay with me until the very moment the scent disappears.

Don't expect strong vanilla, because the sillage of this fragrance isn't particularly strong. The lasting power is very good however, lasting well over 6 hours on my skin.

Delicious Vanilla-Jasmine Combination
Here comes yet another brand that I am not familiar with. With something like this, one can always be quite curious about what to expect. Although often, based on a fragrance name, one can already guess what scent notes one will be "dealing with," and the excitement might be slightly eased…
Because if the manufacturer translates to something like "House of Vanilla," then one can imagine what kind of scent awaits…

The scent:
The fragrance starts with a very delicious-smelling, sweet Jasmine-Vanilla combination. At the same time, the scent immediately becomes powdery and soft. Amber seems to be more present in the background, but that doesn't matter, as the fragrance already smells excellent upon application in the top notes.
The heart note is always a bit difficult for me to describe, as I am not very familiar with the listed scent notes. In any case, the fragrance becomes sweeter and even develops a slight honey-like note.
Do the floral notes now smell tropical? To be honest, I don't know. But luckily, the floral notes do not have that stuffy character found in some floral fragrances. Perhaps this is because the sweet Jasmine is again present in the base, along with the wonderful and also very powdery Vanilla, combined with a slightly vanillic and almond-like Heliotrope. A few hours later, the sweet and vanillic notes also emit a slightly chocolatey scent.

The longevity and sillage:
The longevity is quite good, which is not surprising for a sweet vanilla fragrance. One can expect at least eight hours. On clothing, however, it clings for days!
The sillage is very strong at the beginning, so that an intense Jasmine and Vanilla scent wafts into your nose. However, this projection unfortunately fades very quickly, so the sillage remains rather (above) average. It will be noticeable to someone nearby, and perhaps it will leave a small scent cloud. In any case, the fragrance will not go unnoticed.

The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical, chrome-plated, and tall. It has a blue and elegantly shaped label with the name of the fragrance as well as the manufacturer's logo. The also chrome-plated cap rises in a trapezoidal shape. All in all, very simple and nothing special, and to be honest, it doesn't immediately look like a perfume bottle, but it’s not bad either.

As expected, this fragrance smells of vanilla (oh really…), but very beautifully. Because the Jasmine gives the fragrance a very lovely, sweet note, and the Vanilla rounds everything off, making the scent warm and powdery. The floral notes almost always remain in the background, and I still don't know if they are supposed to smell tropical.

But be that as it may, Vanilla Divine des Tropiques is a very beautiful vanilla scent that seems a bit weak on the skin, but sticks firmly to clothing (without exaggeration, it remains on textiles for many days, even with just a few sprays). It can still be used for going out, although there are better or stronger fragrances for that.
Otherwise, it can be well used for "biting into a woman," or also "biting into a guy" (after all, the fragrance is unisex, and if that biting into a guy thing is true,… then I need this fragrance immediately :D … however, the scent does seem more feminine to me). Or as it is often written here: A cuddle scent,...

Since it is neither too heavy nor too light, the fragrance can actually be worn in any season.
I would test it; I liked it, so I am also curious about the other fragrances from this manufacturer.

Blümerant
As a lover of hyacinths and their scent in particular, I specifically chose this fragrance from the La Maison de la Vanille series for testing: vanilla with hyacinth. It is aptly named tropical vanilla, as there are other very special floral scents involved: jasmine, tuberose, gardenia. The vanilla is supported on its side by amber and heliotrope.

And the scent is a battle of giants: on one side, the incredibly delicious, dense, powdery, spicy, strong, almost liqueur-like vanilla note, which is pushed to the limits of its possibilities by amber and heliotrope.

On the other side, the very pronounced floral note, cloying, rich, loud, which does not hold back and contributes its scent very prominently. Unfortunately, I cannot detect the hyacinth; rather, all the flowers used release their thick floral juices and blend into this creamy, almost material fragrance orgy.

And now comes the "unfortunately": Unfortunately, this does not come together for my nose. It is too much of both. The delicious vanilla note is truly disturbed by the overwhelming floral note, which comes across as too intense and somehow soapy. Everything does not merge into a beautiful harmony; both scent factions remain somewhat separate. Both sides assert their place in this composition without engaging with each other. There are no compromises here; this duel ends in a draw. But unfortunately without a reconciliatory union.

The longevity is excellent, by the way. I have to wash it off; I unfortunately feel quite blümerant.

Chewing Gum in the Opening
On the topic of vanilla!
I always thought that I owned many perfumes with vanilla.
Thanks to Parfumo, I was enlightened!
What I considered to be vanilla due to its sweetness and creaminess was mostly amber, musk, and sandalwood.
Except for Vanilla Fields. The name says it all!

So I had to order a few vanilla scents to test!

VDDT starts off fruity and chewing-gum-like in the opening.
But the chewing gum is soon chewed and spat out.
What remains is a cozy, warm, sweet vanilla scent with a fruity twist.

the slightly heavier vanilla scent of the line, through the tropical flowers. Becomes very powdery, soft, & beautiful. Smells luxurious, dense, feminine.

Honey-sweet blossoms meet a generic heliotrope-vanilla mix. Too high a tempo for me. The finish is slightly boozy with a good amount of musk.

Lush tropical flowers combined with sweet vanilla create an off-balance blend for me, like forgotten, aged candies.

Too bad, I only smell dull, almost musty vanilla with flowers in the background. The whole scent feels somehow blunt and flat to me.

Tons of vanilla, first thought of rum balls with vanilla, then marzipan potatoes with vanilla. Very tasty, very sweet.

Baby powdery, sweet, vanilla, floral, cozy. Vanilla dominates with a friendly, gentle vanilla in tow. Great combo + good sillage.

Gentle soft jasmine, hyacinth thankfully not noticeable for me. Quite a heavy, floral scent.

The Molinard scents Vanilla & Heliotrope EDP come to mind right away. I don’t really smell tuberose. This one is too sweet for me too!
