Autumn Sonata
With "Somali Bakhoor," I have snagged a fragrance that probably no one else has. Probably also because production has allegedly been discontinued, and that must have been quite some time ago.
I only have it because someone gifted it to me.
The fragrance was made in France, but likely by Arab immigrants, just by the way it smells.
A whole "armada" of herbaceous ingredients has been used here, probably including myrrh, incense, cedar, and much more. A faint, dark rose peeks through, surely also a hint of clove.
And what is most astonishing: In "Somali Bakhoor," a significant amount of REAL SANDALWOOD has been used with 100% certainty, which emerges around "the middle of the fragrance development" and then lingers for hours, forming the "heart melody" of the scent.
This is a kind of "Autumn Sonata" in all the colorful foliage hues, woody scents of damp forests, and then over the "golden October" into the misty November melancholy.
A delightful, wonderfully present unsweetened fragrance that suits both genders.
