Freshly Cut Roses in a Nectarine Basket
After my brief statement (and a few weeks of wearing it), the fragrance deserves a more detailed review.
Right after spraying, A la Rose smells to me like freshly cut roses and nectarine, and the scent remains largely linear. Where the wood from the fragrance pyramid is supposed to be? No idea - I don't smell anything woody throughout, maybe just with a lot of imagination in the base.
The fragrance is "there" right after spraying, in full bloom. Roses and juicy nectarines. I associate the scent with "just coming from the hairdresser" - well-groomed (perhaps even with a hint of hairspray) but not creamy/powdery. It is not a sweet sugar bomb, nor a synthetic monster, as is often the case with Arabic fragrances. A la Rose smells mature, but by no means outdated. For me, it's a lovely everyday scent without any disruptive factors.
