Mystique! A mystery? Yaaaaa
The La Parfumeur series was available some time ago for affordable money at qvc.
As Billigdüftchen one should not classify Mystique, however. Already alone the flacon is worth its money.
The nose behind the Le Parfumeur series is Benoist Lapouza. Now the good is not some forest and meadow perfumer, who in his spare time any Dufttwässchen zusammenquirlt. He has also already worked for big houses like Grés, Kenzo, Anna Sui u.a.
I've been thinking the whole time what Mystique reminds me of. Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood? Nah, the has more Wumms and a Sillage of 25 m, is sweet and spicy and you can only wear in the Sèparèe with black suspenders anyway.
Opium? Anyway, the classic from the 1980igern and not the puppies, which he has thrown over the years. Also not. Here the oriental is missing and something of a bazaar.
Then I came across Paloma Picasso. But that's a thunder chypre for which frau needs a gun license.
There's supposed to be mandrake in here? For the life of me, I don't know what that smells like. It's a poisonous nightshade whose roots are supposed to stink terribly. Plus, they scream when you dig them up. (Says the legend). That must be a roar in Mr. Lapouzas.
A dark, unsweet florality echoes, passing on to an equally dark and somewhat smoky creaminess.
Tuberose, which sometimes does not love me, does not dominate here.
Verdict: A recommendable fragrance, not gourmand, not too spicy, not floral. Rather like a smoked cream, which does not have to hide behind other big names.Comparisons with other fragrances can not be drawn. Mystique just!

I feel like the snow queen
This fragrance literally caught me cold, in the truest sense of the word. Meant positively!
At first I thought: "Huuiiiiii, snow falling on cedars."
I love it when it's really cold and snowy in winter. But when was the last time we had that...

Dance of the sugar fairy
Oh, I was so curious about this fragrance. I am such a gourmand. Inside I was already checking my budget to see how and when I could afford the fragrance. Just because of the iris. I like iris and also iris powder, i.e. an iris that powders....
