OrkusOdes Hocus Pocus
Imagination. This is the fragrance name of a luxury designer brand that likes to divide the Parfumo community. From "too expensive", "synthetic headache" and "best freshie ever", it's all there.
Really useful alternatives have been in short supply so far, at least in my opinion.
With Zeus, OrkusOdes opens the door for the first time to a really successful alternative to Imagination. The fragrance has the same characteristics as Imagination.
Bold and cool bergamot freshness, a slight hint of ginger, cushioned by a small dash of mild sweetness and of course garnished with a wonderful teen note.
The fragrance comes really close to Imagination. Very close, in fact. Too close to be true.
The only difference is that Zeus is a little less rounded than its role model. By something I mean a tiny, but still subtle difference which you only notice directly from the arm when you sniff it. No one would notice it in the air.
In terms of fragrance and quality, I think the two are absolutely on a par.
Zeus lasted about 4-5 hours on my skin until I could hardly notice it anymore. The fragrance projected quite well for the first hour, until it suddenly withdrew as if you flipped a switch.
I've put the fragrance on my wish list to see if it will move in with me in summer '25. Great piece!
