Sweet & mellow musk

One of my high school signatures. Now that I'm revisiting it, it's so strange and nothing like my usual signatures. I think the packaging and the name are what drew me to this. At first, this is a bit too musky for me. But after it's on your skin for a few minutes, the lavender develops and it really does remind you of walking through the woods at night. Either way, I highly suggest this to all the musk lovers out there. It's a sweet and mellow musk. Very pleasant.

Much Nothing

Again, a scent that has no character, yet boasts a massive pyramid. Is this supposed to be a Chypre?
But it’s just another inconsequential synthetic floral water. I can’t say it smells bad. But this is not a perfume. OK, it has a scent and it is very inexpensive and boring, unremarkable and, as it seems to me: Ubiquitous on the shelves with low-priced perfumes.
If you know one, you know them all.
But there are also inexpensive synthetic scents that I like and use, like "Nuit Marine" by Oriflame.
When I think of the Demeter scents. They are inexpensive, they are quirky, some cannot be worn as perfume. But they have something, even if they can be dreadful.
And if it’s a soggy laundry detergent scent, then it says so on the label.
But here, a crazy pyramid is listed. One might think you would at least smell a strong, penetrating scent.
Instead, "MP" (what an abbreviation, lol) starts off soapy with a very faint floral scent. There’s a bit of citrus note in there.
Then, for 10 minutes, there are hints of animalic white florals, but really just suggestions. This one truly identifiable scent lasts about 10 minutes, then everything turns back into a soggy floral mush, very synthetic, and along with that, there’s also a sweet licorice note that lingers for a long time.
At least there’s a progression. At some point, "MP" then becomes woody-resinous, sweet, although very light, but smelling like a wood or leather care product.
And yes, even with the florals, Ambroxan was present, now it seems the synthetic cheap wood scent molecules are coming into play.
This means that on one hand, you can’t perceive anything of significance anymore, but Ambroxan has a very long lasting effect on me; washing it off is not enough.
I sprayed this "Moonlight Path" relatively generously on my right wrist. I had no choice because otherwise I could hardly smell anything at first. On my left wrist, despite showering and multiple uses of neutral soap and applying fragrance-free lipid cream, I can still perceive the remnants of Ambroxan from my test "Sex and the City".
I usually use laundry freshener (Febreze in inexpensive), but that also smells similar to "Moonlight Path", although not as resinous. I will probably have to dab on a heavy old Chypre with a decapitated top note, civet, and musk after a thorough wash and light moisturizing, otherwise it cannot be masked.
Maybe "MP" could also be used as a means to neutralize food and body odors in clothing? I won’t try it; the traveling package continues.
The bottle seems to be the prettiest part. But I won’t rate it since I only have a sample.
If "MP" weren’t so inexpensive, I would prefer to give it 0%.

To Support Romance

During a swap, I was given this fragrance - I would never have chosen it for testing on my own. And what a miss that would have been!
It is a floriental in the best and playfully kitschy sense! Not like Bal a Versailles or Passion by ET - which scream here-I!-come. Wearing this fragrance enhances dinners, walks (best done stylishly by the sea or in the moonlight - oh) and even though I usually lack the feeling of romance and hope to discover it, I see these images.

The beginning is fruity-spicy - a combination that should be used much more often in the top notes! MP transitions from here into a bouquet, the scent of which you could directly take from a bouquet of flowers, still with fruity-spicy accents at the start. This dual scent fades to ultimately leave a hint of earthy-woody tones with vanilla and flowers on my skin. Even a bit creamy is added.

Usually more inclined towards loud and sometimes even extreme fragrances, MP is a pleasant everyday alternative or indeed for the aforementioned occasions.
