Jasmine on Jasmine
A truly fresh-floral scent! I hadn't even considered this brand and had packaged it as a quick pick. If the others in the line are half as good, they are definitely worth a sniff!
The top note starts off with wonderfully floral jasmine, with a slightly woody undertone. Unfortunately, the top note quickly gives way to the heart. This remains jasmine-like until the dry down, then blends with pleasantly unsweet vanilla. It stays subtly woody, which gives it character. The musk is just right, not too much and not too little. Just enough to be perceived as a clean scent, as mentioned by the previous reviewer. Thankfully, the leather stays quite subdued.
All in all, a very well-rounded, successful jasmine scent that I would recommend for spring, summer, and autumn. Or in winter as a comforting reminder of brighter days.
A little musk bouquet garnished with vanilla tonka bean and a touch of grounding wood!
