Just didn't wow me

On first spray of Oud Maracujá, I immediately just got the oud/rose and ambrocenide of Ombre Nomade but quickly the scent settled more fruity and leathery than the Louis Vuitton. The passionfruit note is particularly good, it smells very natural and photorealistic, but the rest of the composition just left a bit to be desired for me. It feels a bit lighter and less dense than other oud/rose fragrances, but with the addition of the amber aromachemicals plus akigalawood, it seems like it's trying to be a powerhouse, but sacrifices the nice natural passionfruit subtleties to do so. I think Jordi got the formula better in Pastel Oud; that's a bit rougher around the edges and more assertive. But I still think Oud Maracujá is a good beginner Western oud for someone looking for a lighter, fruitier experience than Ombre Nomade.

Thanks for mentioning that Merchant one, will definitely be checking that one out.
As for the Crevelli, the oud ones wowed me a bit in the beginning but tbh I already forgot about them. Glad I didn’t make a purchase after sampling.

I might be a little biased when it comes to Pastel Oud, was gifted to me by my aunt when she came back from Venice and it feels like a "discovery" to me, but at least eight other people agree with me, rating's high as I've ever seen it on Parfumo
