Sexy, smoking cola tiger
First you hear a growl and then you see the amber eyes fixating you in the dark. This tiger is a master of disguise who knows how to hide behind the most refined veil of cardamom, leather and cola. His sweetness is just a shadow, the last thing you sense before he rushes his prey. The tobacco here is intoxicating, a cigar rolled from the finest Havana leaves with the blunt end cut, waiting for the striking match to light it. I bought it for my partner, but he complains that I am stealing it from him all the time, as this tiger is one I just can`t get enough of.

Mrrr!

Very well made and developed fragrance, opens up with feeling very warm and almost cola like with the myrrh and juniper popping out then after it has time to develop a slightly dirty and earthy tobacco starts to come through with slight animalics as well and maintains this for most of the scent which is very enjoyable and not challenging either. However I wouldn’t say it matches the name of a tiger very well in terms of rough animalics if that is what you are looking for.
Overall this is one of my favorite winter fragrances and is definitely worth a try it has great longevity and performance and can be found for under 100$ on certain websites.

No Tiger Included
In the description it's an animalic woody leather, but, like many others, I don't get to smell anything of the sort. Which is just as well, as I'm happy with what I get instead. It's am incense, enveloped in heavy smoke and sparkling with clove and saffron and many other spices. It feels joyful and bright, something one would wear for a festive occasion.

It's definitely one of my favourites from this brand. Malbrum seems to have a way to make incense smell all sorts of special and unique in many different ways. This particular perfume has insane staying power as well, which makes me heavily consider a full bottle even for that hefty of a price.

Overall, I find this perfume a fascinating take on incense and spices combination. The description is quite misleading, but it's hard to be upset as the fragrance is still top-notch otherwise.

The Tiger Creature, the Tiger Creature...
"What's that smell like cola?" Barely a minute after spraying Tigre du Bengale, my son entered the room with this question on his lips. Kids say the darndest things... He wasn't wrong, the concoction does indeed show a corresponding twist after a brief, tobacco-bitter start. I suspect something in the myrrh is responsible for this. It apparently happens occasionally; I think of Heeleys Eau Sacrée. In Rume by Slumberhouse, cola is even listed as a fragrance note - possibly a leap forward. And in both of those, coincidentally, myrrh is also an important part. My daughter brought up a thought about Chinotto with its hints of Spezi, and as luck would have it, there were remnants of both drinks available for sniffing. This led to several minutes of joyful, shared comparisons before we had to head off to school and work. Family!

The cola doesn't last more than a few minutes anyway; the scent quickly reveals its tobacco side again: bitter, dark, spicy. It reaches into the leathery and foreshadows a definitely beaver-supported leather effect that follows within the first hour. From then on, the cola-free myrrh serves as the common thread. I really like this leathery-beavery-resinous scent. It's just a bit quiet, our tiger; it only fully unfolds its aromas when you get closer.

By noon, the fragrance develops dusty amber ambitions, flanked by vanilla aspects. This feels high-quality and lasts for hours, into the evening. Additionally, a resinous bitterness constantly wafts around the nose, reminding us of the myrrh. Only after about eight hours do I catch a hint of wood as an addition to the base, but I might be mistaken there.

The growl of the opening cannot be saved by the tiger over time. In the afternoon, I find it increasingly tame, and I feel like many others: I have the impression that I already know all of this, just can't pinpoint where from. It’s certainly not Armanis Myrrhe Imperiale; I held that one beside it. Nevertheless, Tigre du Bengale is fundamentally to my taste.

Was there something else? Oh yes! Animalic. I don't really find the hint of beaver to be very beastly. I expected a bit more, especially in the second half, perhaps some labdanum passion or, of course, a bit of real big cat pee.

Hmm. I was fortunate enough to take over the tiger (thank you very much!) from Gerdi. He had to travel no more than 15 kilometers from her - yet the journey apparently left certain traces:

The tiger creature, the tiger creature,
instead of in Bengal, it's here.
From Hamburg it comes on silent paws,
I offer it shelter in my house.

The tiger creature, the tiger creature
carefully marks its territory.
It stretches scratchingly up the trunk,
afterwards, it lifts its leg.

The tiger creature, the tiger creature
is overwhelmed by the row
of trees already from Hamburg-North,
and yet it goes much further forth!

The tiger creature, the tiger creature
runs out of juice just after four.
No shaking or wringing helps,
no drop can reach its goal.

Wild and yet gentle!
Malbrum ... yes, this brand is still not very well known here, yet a small hype has already developed.
And I really have to say, although the fragrances are quite expensive, they are worth a test :) Thanks for the noble donation!
The perfumes from Malbrum were created between Grasse and Oslo over four years ... and Delphine Thierry has truly proven her fine nose and absolute skill here.

As I read through the fragrance pyramid, I think to myself no ... this is not for me ... and yet I am enchanted by how wonderfully the scent notes (not exactly my favorites) harmoniously blend together.
This is the 3rd fragrance from the Volume I series that I have tested and the 1st that I am dedicating a comment to.

About the scent:
Tigre du Bengale starts for me with a spicy-aromatic note of juniper and cardamom ... I can agree with Can, it really smells like cola :)
Resinous notes are added to the scent progression. Labdanum and myrrh in their softest form.
It slowly becomes animalistic ... but gently. Castoreum mixes with patchouli and tobacco ... resinous-balsamic, slightly leathery, and always covered by a fine spiciness.
What emerges is a purring tiger ... wild and yet gentle.
Tigre du Bengale is for me a leathery-resinous-animalistic fragrance that radiates a certain warmth.
Wearable all year round except in the height of summer.
The longevity is around 8 hours plus ... the sillage is rather quiet ... it is an extrait!
Unisex ... definitely! But I can imagine that Tigre du Bengale comes across as very sexy on a man. Personally, I feel like it simply emphasizes my strength ... but I don't feel sexy with it ;)
The bottle is simple and unfortunately has one of those annoying balloon sprayers. I just don't like those things because they are a disaster to spray.

Conclusion:
Another complete work by Ms. Thierry.
Wild and yet gentle!
Leathery-resinous-animalistic ... and I am enchanted once again!

I recommend testing ... my sample is already eagerly awaited by a dear perfume lover :)

No tiger's ferocity here, but rather tame cardamom over dry tobacco, norlimbanol's wood-cocoa profile and semi-sweet ambery synthetics.

On my skin, it is a really average amber, little like sweet coca-cola.
Performance is not bad, less than expected.
Won't wear it.

You got to have no nose at all to compare this to Anubis. Coumarin, ambroxan and no labdanum or castoreum. Casual.

The tiger is beautiful. But I imagined it to be a bit wilder. The base is good.

Spicy, resinous, and very soft with a proper splash of fizzy cola, the tiger rests on an earthy bed. Beautiful and very tame.
