I’m in the shower...

... and I’m currently applying my shower gel that smells of pineapple, coconut, and vanilla. I close my eyes and imagine that my shower is on a beach on a small Pacific island with a view of the palm trees and the sea and the sun. I open my eyes again and unfortunately find myself just in my shower on a cold, foggy November day.

When applying this fragrance, the first notes you get are pineapple, citrus, and coconut accords that transport you to a warm beach. Added to this is the green freshness of mint and floral notes. It is complemented by the woody notes of vanilla and the sweetness of tonka bean. The vetiver adds a slightly dry finish.

The longevity and sillage are good.

Guys, if you like a summery scent, this is a great choice starting from around 14 years old. It is best worn on warm or hot days. However, it also tempts you to warmer realms on cold days. It can be worn both during the day and in the evening.

If you enjoy a citrusy, fruity, sweet fragrance, this is a great option for little money.

Solid Drugstore Scent for Summer

If you’re not bothered by synthetics, you get a solid drugstore scent here at a very affordable price. I’ve seen it for €9.30 at times. And that for 100ml. You really can’t complain.

You get a fresh and fruity fragrance with a lovely pineapple-tangerine combination in the top note, which becomes increasingly bitter over time. As I said, it is synthetic, but personally, I have no problem with that.

The sillage is surprisingly good in the first half hour to hour. After that, it becomes close to the skin and doesn’t last too long anymore. In my opinion, it doesn’t need to. You just spray it on 10 times again.

For me, it’s mainly a good "fridge scent." I keep it next to the 10-pack of eggs in the summer and mainly pull it out on really warm days when we approach 30°C. On those days, it works best for me. A few sprays on warm skin cool me down, feel refreshing, and put me in a good mood. And that for just a few euros.

Clear recommendation for anyone still looking for an affordable summer scent.

Very synthetic scent, smells of pineapple, coconut, and vanilla also resonates.

In my opinion, not a good fragrance, to put it mildly…

Maybe okay for teenagers at the beach or elsewhere in the summer in the fresh air.

Not a nice summer scent. Very superficial and artificial, piercingly synthetic and sweet, and not pleasant smelling to me.

Foreword:
If you like "L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Issey Miyake," you should check this one out. They are two completely different fragrances, but they have a few similarities, and I believe anyone who likes Issey will also find this one interesting.

Tropical fruits with floral purple nuances and a bitter-sweet note dominate, with the coconut being hardly noticeable. Overall, it's quite a jumble, but it works well. Especially the sweet note combined with the bitterness sets it apart from other summer fragrances. The vanilla and tonka bean give it a touch of the Versace Eros vibe, although both fragrances are, of course, different. While that bothered me with Eros, it adds a special note to this scent profile and rounds it off nicely. Somewhat dry, yet also refreshing. Although it doesn't smell like the highest quality ingredients and doesn't reinvent the wheel, it offers a nice scent profile that follows its own path. They haven't tried to create the most mass-appealing freshie for everyone. JPG Le Beau goes in this direction, but I wouldn't call it a clone, as it could have been hit closer if that was the goal. The longevity is not particularly impressive, and the new Afternoon Swim isn't either. But for the €9 I just paid on sale, I'll keep my mouth shut. It can be placed among the summer fragrances priced at €30-50, it could also be a Zara scent in terms of craftsmanship. Some will love it, others less so, as is often the case with summer fragrances. I wouldn't spend €50 on it, but for €9 on sale, it's Baba. Suitable for the beach, outdoor pool, and midsummer, etc.
